Total knee replacement failure
Dr. Meininger did a total knee replacement that was a failure. The knee post-surgery was never right even with my commitment to physical therapy and ultimately another surgery. I will have to live with a limited range of motion and pain every day for the rest of my life. I was better off BEFORE the knee replacement; less pain and more flexibility. It was a complete failure.

A Doctor that listens
Dr. Meininger looked at my X-rays and talked about options. We went over recovery times and procedures. He didn’t rush and was pleasant to talk to.

Dr. Meininger is excellent
My husband and I have had both of our knee problems addressed by Dr. Meininger. He is clear and concise in his explanations, a good listener, and does not immediately jump to surgery as the only alternative. I like that the facility is capable of handling all the diagnostics necessary and the surgery center is comfortable and less hectic than a hospital. Thanks, Dr. Meininger for giving us both back our ability to enjoy all the outdoor activities we love!

Initial Office Visit
Dr Menninger and his staff were Professional and competent. They were friendly but focused on the meeting at hand. They clearly and concisely told me my options and I felt secure with the resulting decision. I felt secure like I was in capable hands.

Great doc, great experience
I should start by saying I’m apprehensive about going to see a surgeon for a non life threatening injury. I have this suspicion that everything looks like a nail to a hammer. Anyway I collided with a tree, and hurt my knee - pretty painful for a couple days. After a week the pain had mostly subsided. They took some X-rays, tested flexibility of knee and basically said I should wait and see if it gets better or worse. If worse, come back. Apparently there are some hammers who can resist seeing everything as a nail!

I feel lucky that I made it to 50 before having my first significant orthopedic injury, but feel even luckier that Dr. Meininger and the team at SOSI are here to take care of me. Their responsiveness and genuine interest in me as a patient has been reassuring and comforting. I am early in the process but already feel confident in the plan and the team that is caring for me.

First time meeting Dr. Meaninger. He and his staff were great. Couldn't ask for better. He is very knowledgeable and explains everything to you leaving you knowing what is found on xray, mri images and what treatment is necessary. He never made me feel like he would rush into surgery unless necessary. Great experience.

I injured my shoulder mountain biking over the summer and am about 12 weeks post-surgery from rotator cuff and bicep tendon repairs. I couldn’t be happier with the results so far. Dr. Meininger and his team have been fantastic to work with, have been very responsive and addressed any questions I’ve had throughout the process. I had surgery in Steamboat, did the first 6 weeks of rehab at Kinetic Energy locally -which was fantastic - and have had the last 6 weeks of rehab at a clinic in the Southeast. The support of the SOSI team made the rehab transition seamless and my checkups are done now via Telemedicine. I can’t say enough about how pleased I am with the results so far, my range of motion, and the skill and help of Dr. Meininger and his team!

Absolutely phenomenal medical treatment from Dr. Meininger and the staff at SOSI. My shoulder was really torn up but now 13 weeks after surgery it's doing great and on my way to full recovery. I highly recommend Dr. Meininger and SOSI.

We recently relocated to Colorado and needed to find an orthopedic surgeon as experienced as my NY ortho. I looked into Steamboat Orthopedics and found Dr. Meningier. First visit was amazing. Dr. Meningier addressed all my current knee issues along with providing preventative measures. I’m truly grateful to have found Dr. Meningier to help keep my knees as healthy as they can be for a very long time!

Dr. Meininger and his entire staff were very professional and proficient in treating my knee pain. In fact, I was able to get an MRI done the same day in the same facility after seeing the Doctor. They expedited my next visit the following day and we developed a strong game plan for my knee issue. The facility is first class all inclusive care. I was extremely impressed.
