Have had 4 revisions on my spinal cord stimulator, since the first revision it has not functioned properly. After the last revision I spoke with his staff once and was supposed to be contacting… there was no contact for the entire week, after many (over 30) calls to the office with no one answering the phone or returning calls from messages left my post op was with the PA who was extremely rude and did not even do a wonderful job check. Very unprofessional all around.

Dr. Powers has cared for me for 11 years. His knowledge, diagnosis and skill have allowed me to have a far better quality of life than would have been possible otherwise. He has always been available and attentive quickly whenever needed. The screws and rods have taken away debilitating pain and pressure on my heart and lungs.

Would not recommend for anyone, he did lumbar surgery on my husband in 2018 never did x-ray or kind of scan. 3 months later told him to go back to what he was doing. So he put a screw in that serves no purpose L1 to L 2 to L3 are collapsed and never healed. Trying to find a surgeon not affiliated with Powers.

Never would I recommend him to anyone......the surgery was a disaster, the pain in my arm was excruciating. His PA found out the problem almost 6 months later. The equipment was not linked to the battery.

Dr. Powers performed a laminectomy on my L5-S1. I didn’t see him before my surgery, after in recovery or even before I was discharged the next day. The pain medication didn’t come close to alleviating my pain. I went to him because he was so highly recommended, but I am sorry, I didn’t have anything close to a highly recommended experience with him. He came off as cocky, arrogant, and refused to listen to me about my history of back issues. I obtained a 2nd Opinion, and only stayed with Powers because the surgery was already scheduled. I know my body and I am well informed and educated about my health issues, yet I felt like I was treated like a bother to him, almost like he was above my health issues.

Dr. Powers was a miracle sent to me. Without him, I would be in a wheelchair. I am off strong pain pills and my ability to walk, bend, move easily is better than ever. I would refer my best friend to him, as well as my enemies. HE is absolutely wonderfully talented and I am very blessed to have had him as a surgeon.

Doctor Powers has performed surgery on my lower back and my wife's neck. He repair a herniated disc for me and performed a fusion in my wife's neck. In both cases, our results were immediate and fantastic. Dr. Powers came highly recommended to me by a cardio-thoracic surgeon I know and I am so glad I was sent his way. I will say that getting in to see him is difficult.

He is good, however, his mentally challenged office staff gives Dumb and Dumber a new meaning. If you are in significant pain, be prepared not to receive any attention and be told over and over again, they will take down the message and pass it along to the doctor. These idiots in the office do as they please and could care less about a patient in severe pain. Good luck trying to get in. They will direct you to the ER, get pain meds and your back to square one again. Office staff are idiots
