Our 5 yr old had a stat abdominal xray dx pain and vomiting. ER was empty had a wonderful Dr and Nurse team. Xray taken at 2:32 a.m. hours passed.. they made many phone calls (3) to ask for report... begging him to please read so they could move on to continue care for our child. No report or verbal given for hours.. 4:42am finally our ER recieved his report. 2 hours 10 minutes on a STAT Xray? Make this make sense. The ER staff was frustrated and apologetic- our child was suffering as we were at a stand still pending this report. Not sure what antics were going on between this man & our ER team nor do I care- nothing should compromise whats best for that 5 yr old. DO BETTER. Someone needs to review the time line and work load from that night and if you claim you were overwhelmed with other more important images to read then you need to expand the team. Your services aren't free and this was unacceptable-
