I have been treated by Dr DiStefano since the beginning of my breast cancer journey. He has always treated me with respect and great care. His expertise in treating me over the years has resulted in my being a long time survivor. I was saddened by his decision to retire yet happy for him to be able to leave to enjoy the fruits of his labor.

Hematology Work-Up
Everyone was wonderful, from check-in to check-out. Dr. Di Stefano thoroughly explained the ramifications of a DVT and that I have a genetic mutation that makes me more susceptible. He gave me detailed information about Eliquis and the risks and timeframe the drug is necessary. He set an Eliquis protocol in the event I need additional surgery. He discussed actions needed in the event of flying or traveling, to prevent additional DVTs.I left this appointment well informed and confident of my treatment plan.

Thank you, Dr. Di Stefano
As is the case with every visit, Dr. Di Stefano and the health care professionals are first-rate. They are friendly and compassionate; they answer my questions and, overall, allow me to leave the office with a better understanding of what is happening in my body. I especially appreciate their going over the lab results with me and allowing me to take a copy home to share with my other doctors. Thank you for all that you do.

My favorite doctor!
I have been a patient of Dr. Alfred DiStefano for 23 years. I initially was referred to him after my lumpectomy in January of 2000 and have been seeing him annually ever since. He and his nurse Cherry calm me down during an always scary office visit. In November of 2013, I was again diagnosed with breast cancer. Dr D and I mutually decided on a mastectomy. It really wasn't as scary as I always feared it would be. And let me tell you, I was always scared of it during every annual mammogram! I wholeheartedly, highly recommend Dr. DiStefano. If you're looking for a very thorough, experienced, compassionate, caring oncologist, who listens to your concerns and advises you accordingly, you won't find anyone better than Dr. D. He truly is my all time favorite doctor and I am very blessed to be under his care.
