Saved my file: Caring doctor
They found a tumor in my spine that had grown and fractured my spine. When I first met Dr. Ogden I knew that he was the surgeon for me. He was patient and kind. We first found the tumor it was small, now that the tumor had complicated things, Dr. Ogden said we had to operate right away. We did, the surgery was perfect, he and his team did a great job. My recovery has been difficult, but Dr. Ogden came to see me every single day. We have already had the radiation for the tumor and so far so good. At one point the radiologist found what he called another tumor in my spine but Dr. Ogden said that would have been impossible considering he had done the surgery. It was a blood blister and would go away on it's own. He was right.Don't be afraid, see Dr. Ogden.Fear is natural, but leave it all in Gods hands and in Dr. Ogden's hands.

Skilled and reasonable
Dr.Ogden had listened to the problem carefully, examined my family member and came up with the most reasonable and conservative yet effective approach. The surgery was impeccable on the cervical spine and recovery very uneventful. Very happy with this Doctor.

Dr Ogden took the time to explain why I needed cervical fusion surgery. I never had any type of surgery before and didn’t know what to expect. Dr and his staff were wonderful to work with, they were compassionate and understanding. Would strongly recommend them!

We met with other doctors in other practices and were not happy. Dr. Ogden took the time to review the MRI with us and the procedure that he recommended along with the potential risks. The day of the procedure he went through everything again. The post-op care was very good. The office staff that worked with the insurance company was excellent, as well.

Dr. Ogden was recommended to me by another physician of mine. I’m so grateful to have gotten the recommendation because he is absolutely wonderful. He truly listens, explains everything, and corrects the problem. I had surgery done by him and almost immediately had noticeable relief. I would recommend him to anyone who needs a neurosurgeon with a wonderful bedside manner and the highest level of expertise.

I suffered many years with back and leg pain, also going for injections in my back. After a year, injections did not work for me. I was loaded with arthritis around the nerves in my lower spine, so I was told to see DR. Ogden, a neuro surgeon who performed a laminectomy on my back. I could not take the pain any longer so we did the surgery, which was a great success. I can not say enough about how much I recommend DR. OGDEN to those people out there that are suffering like I was. Go see him, he's just great to talk to as well as a great surgeon. I would recommend him to everyone who needs back surgery.

I can to Dr. Ogden in the middle of the pandemic after suffering at home for months for fear of seeking treatment. He met with me virtually, explained everything clearly and concisely, and recommended a path of treatment without immediately jumping to surgery as an answer. When it eventually became clear surgery would be needed, he was incredibly caring and attentive to my concerns, and the procedure was life-changing in that I could already walk better and with less pain the evening of the procedure than I could for several months prior! Post surgery, his timeline and guidance for recovery and physical therapy was spot on, and I am extremely pleased with the result and overall experience.

Dr. Ogden is an excellent surgeon. His laid back demeanor helped calm my nerves about needing back surgery. He was reassuring and confident the surgery would be a success. I was very nervous to have to undergo surgery of my spine and I am so happy that I did it. I would highly recommend Dr. Ogden.

I had a serious MRI with anesthesia on my Thoracic for a Syrinx which Dr. Ogden presumed was inoperable prior to performing the MRI. The procedure was on 4/25, and it's 4 weeks later & HE'S NOT CONTACTED ME WITH RESULTS. For 3 weeks I've reached out to him via emails and calls to both of his offices, to NO AVAIL. Once he was with a patient, other times he was in his NJ office & was unable to access his NY files (really?). The receptionist was unable to tell me when he would be back in NY since the doctor had a very busy schedule. Clearly, he's too busy to follow up with his patients! I'm completely stressed about these results, finding a tumor would be my best case scenario, with other far dire possibilities. I've reviewed the Patient Bill of Rights & he's violated at least 5 of them. I don't have any recourse except to write to the Patient Services Admin. and file a complaint, but I am reluctant to do that. This non-communicative behavior is insensitive. Why am I not important to him?

Dr. Ogden is a caring, bright and personable neurosurgeon. I visited his office for a disc issue that a previous MD suggested would be quite difficult to treat. Dr. Ogden reviewed the MRI's, answered all of my questions and put me at ease. He performed the surgery which went well and pain relief was almost instant. I am so grateful for his approach and return to health. He is a gifted surgeon. He is my first choice for any back related issues.

I recently had a microdiscectomy by Dr. Ogden and it could not have been smoother or more professional. I walked out of the hospital the same evening as the surgery. His administrators, medical assistants, know what they are doing and provide all the information you need. Dr. Ogden was the only doctor that gave me a full physical assessment instead of just reading the MRI's. I woke up from the surgery nerve-pain free after a year of pain. He is confident, cautious, and inspires trust.

I spent the last 18 months going through a revolving door of cervical epidural injections and physical therapy, which provided intermittent and varying levels of relief from the SEVERE radicular pain in my shoulder blade region. Feeling I needed a fresh view, I found Dr. Ogden in my in-network providers, and his credentials jumped off the page. In one visit he confidently determined an appropriate surgical approach, executed it, and the 4 weeks since have been my best in 18 months. Life saver!
