Awful treatment by appointment woman
My primary doctor said for me to get an appointment with this neurologist. She said she sent a reference. I called Dr. Jacome office on Tuesday the woman who takes appointments said she would have to call me back because she needed to see if they were in network, I said that's where I looked up in my insurance and it shows them in network.. Regardless SHE needed to check. That was early in the morning I call her. No return call back that day. I called the next day they sent me to HER voice mail. I left a detailed. Still no call back. I call the next day the 3rd day and the lady that answered the phone I said to can you give me your Ocala location and she said WHAT DO YOU WANT IT FOR.... I was taken back, I said I want to mack sure I'm calling the right office and would like the address. SHE GOES WHAT DO YOU WANT..... I'm like an appointment she says well are you a patient... Because we are booking into August! I said that's fine. Then I hear the woman who books appointments say to th

Good and not so good
Dr Jacome has been my neurologist for many years. He is calm, knowledgeable and gives you the opportunity to ask questions. He takes time to answer them which, I believe, is one reason he runs late. It has gotten better with the lateness, however. The office is short staffed but I’ve had no problems. The office temperature isn’t as cold as it used to be . Seems more comfortable.

Horrible and Lying staff
I only visited this doctor 1 time, than I had to take a nerve test which I did but let me tell you something,it's so cold in his office you have to sit outside,I was scheduled for a muscle test months ago, waiting 2 hrs ,freezing in this guys office that I had to go out in my car to get a blanket and wrapped it around d me in his office, again waiting 2 hours than I walked outI have Reatless leg syndrome and the first time I called for a prescription I made a mistake and called in a lower dosage from years ago( where I use to live) I have called 5 times already explaining that I called the wrong prescription from an old bottle and that I need the stronger dosage,I even spoke to their manager named Janet because nobody has not gotton back to meThis has been 3 weeks now,my pharmacy has even faxed, and called and nobody has not returned their calls, and the one behind the desk that answers the phone is very masty and smellsI'mFiling a complaint against them!

He is Wonderful, His Staff………Not So Much
I am very pleased with the doctor. He is very patient, allows me to speak and responds to my concerns. He ordered tests to pinpoint my issues ans addressed them post haste. I have been seeing him now for going on 4 years. He has however, had staff issues that are problematic. He used to have a nurse but recently only had a receptionist that was responsible for intake, set up, and checked out. He had a part time person for appointments who was rarely available when needed. If you can get past the office issues, you will have the best Neurologist you could hope for.

An extremely brilliant Dr.
I'm a retired medical prof., I've worked with and around my very smart Dr's in my days, and The Dr, is definitely right up there with them, I have been a patient for at least 15yrs,dealing with the staff for the whole time,From the practice manager to the the receptionist, these ladies work like crazy,as there is such a big demand for a really great dr..and,needless to say,you can blame everything on everyone,But a a retired private practice chain owner, Your Insurance company is almost always the culprit...as they run all the mega services in the world........policy changes to providers without any notice til after the Dr did a months worth of testing???? C'mon!!! I wouldn't even be here at all, without this fine group of extra hard working very dedicated practice, And I'm not leaving out the Technologists that do the neuro testing!!!Theyre all good!!!!

The worst experience with a doctors office ever. The staff is rude and Janet the manager/nurse doesn’t respond to the doctors orders. She doesn’t return calls and refuses to make appointments.

Great doctor. Horrible office staff.
Freezing cold, long wait. Bring a coat and wear long pants. Horrible treatment at reception. They also don't answer calls or let people know they are always hours behind. Needs a major overhaul in office management.

Never even saw him
The office said they were too busy to contact patients who were referred by a PCP (I saw no evidence of them being busy while I was there). I called and made an appointment. I waited 1 hour and 30 minutes in a freezing cold bare bones office. No one gave updates on when I would see him; no one offered info. I left and will not be back.

Great doctor- terrible office staff!!!
I was on the diagnosis merry-go-round for 4 years after passing out, convulsing & wetting my pants in May 2020. It happened again in December 2023. I went to Dr. Jacome & he listened to my history & symptoms. He found the problem right away- cervical dystonia & cervical myelopathy. I saw him March 25th when he said he wanted to order 'injectable medicine' (site won't let me say name). 10 days went by & Janet, the office manager, had not sent the order in. I had to get my insurance company to call her for the Rx. Then it was put in as a Rx, which was denied. The pharma company had to get re-authorization, that took 6 days for Janet to get back to them. Day 28 the pharma company robo calls to say it will be shipped. The next day the order has been canceled. That is because Janet put a 'buy-in' option on the order. That means the doctor's office pays & get reimbursed by the insurance. If the doctor is paying, that is a different company! The order was completely canceled after 29 days!

Better doctors out there
Staff is terribly rude and discourteous. Doctor routinely is missing in action and his staff doesn't know where he is. Sometimes waiting 3 hours for him. I have called for my records 5 times to no avail.

Do Not Recommend
Horrible. Late for every appointment. My complaints were the muscle pain and weakness in my legs, severe agonizing cramps in my feet that cause my feet and toes to twist and contort. NO EMG was done on my lower back, legs, and/or feet. My diagnosis of cervical dystonia was not explained. I had to research everything on my own. Did not offer an injection with the cervical dystonia. I suffer from migraines that last 3-6 days nonstop. I will be seeking treatment from another neurologist. The appointment was rushed and he refused possible serious conditions causing the dystonia. I left in tears. I will not go back.

Excellent. Dr.Jacome has been so helpful and understanding since I first started going to him 2 years ago. He explains things to me and is a great listener. I like the fact he is open and honest with me about my condition and what I can do to help myself such as certain supplements I should stop taking which aren't helpful. The staff as a whole are very pleasant and care about the patients.

Very long wait sometimes. Seems to rush through the appointment when he finally arrives. The billing department very slow in processing the billing. Nurses are okay. Not the worst one I have been through but definitely not the best either!

Doctor refused to consider new serious symptoms. Prescribed pills by phone. Refused an office visit to discuss new symptoms. Denied possibility of Cauda Equina Syndrome and the need for immediate surgery. Surgery was thereby delayed for 6 weeks. This resulted in serious, possibly life long, pain and disability.
