Rude
He sees my dad. He is the rudest provider I have ever met with. He constantly talks down to me and my dad. We chose him specifically because he spoke Spanish, but he gets frustrated with my father. My father is in his mid-70s and does not understand anything medical. The provider doesn't take time to explain things simply to my father. Whenever Dad goes alone and I call for clarification or questions, he calls back belittling me and talking to me like I'm a child. It's important to note that I've been working with providers and in healthcare for many years, but when Dad goes alone and doesn't understand why something has changed, we have to call to clarify. Unfortunately, he never answers questions, interrupts us, and never believes what we are calling to question or report. If you need a higher level of care or need more explanation of your care, it is not advisable to schedule an appointment with him. He will make you feel awful about yourself for asking questions.

When he first walked into the room, until I noticed the white coat I thought maybe this was a street person or grungy patient walking into the wrong room. He introduced himself as Dr. Vargas and wanted to tell me all about himself before asking me question. He noted that he had worked at many different places. I wondered why any medical place would hire someone so unkempt! He started asking me questions about my very personal life and had nothing to do with my medical history or current condition. He said he had taken notes previously but scribbled and couldn’t read them ??? Then when answering some uncomfortable questions, he would tell me that his mind was going over here and over there (waving his arms left and right)? What? I told him no other doctor asked me questions that had nothing to do with my illness or previous health issues. He said, “I just want to know you. You don’t have to answer.” Weird and grungy. Best description I have for him. Refused him as my doctor.
