Dr. Seckin is a Businessman not a Healer
I saw Dr. Seckin on Feb 12 and 28 and on both visits, he had assistances taking notes who would constantly look at him about what to write down. I was apprehensive but ultimately decided to get an epidural for our April vacation. On March 13, while lying on the operating table, he was uniformed on where the epidural was to be placed. Within 24 hours, pain was increasing significantly and continued to increase daily. On March 29 I learned from Medicare billing that he gave me 2 epidurals on my left side, not 1 as discussed. A MRI revealed that I had a large synovial cyst in my L5-S1 region that was not present in a 2023 MRI. Starting mid-April, I was bedridden, lost 12 pounds while taking large amounts of oxycodone. I feared I would suffer permanent paralysis of my left side. I had emergency surgery on May 15 which successfully eliminated the pain. I have submitted a complaint to the NJ Board of Medical Examiners about this traumatic experience.

I recently had an experience with Seckin Pain Management that left me quite dissatisfied. I initially found Dr. Seckin to help alleviate my back and hip pain until a surgery can take place. I was able to secure an appointment promptly, which was a positive. However, my concerns arose when he recommended injections despite my previous adverse reaction to them, as communicated during our consultation. Regrettably, after the injections, my pain intensified, and I returned for a follow-up where Dr. Seckin suggested acupuncture and a medication I explicitly expressed discomfort with. The pain caused by the injections remained unaddressed, and despite the passage of weeks, I find myself in more agony than when I first sought treatment. Considering my experience, I cannot recommend Seckin Pain Management, especially if you have had unsuccessful experiences with injections in the past. Given the complexity of my medical situation, I had hoped for more personalized and effective pain management solutions. The limited range of offered solutions, coupled with the persistent pain, has led me to reconsider seeking alternative medical assistance, even contemplating a visit to the hospital due to the severity of my discomfort

It's rare in today's world to find a doctor with excellent listening, diagnostic and technical skills who is also kind, caring, has a sense of humor and who truly wants to help his patients. Dr. Seckin has all of these qualities.

I have seen him often for back and leg pain. He has treated me with injections without any ill effects and very helpful to treat my pain. He is an excellent physician with an outstanding bedside personality. The negative reviews are unjustified and inaccurate.

Wait time for my appt was over an hr. Then he refused to treat me without an MRI even though insurance continued to deny it... all the while I am in pain. When they finally scheduled me for injections they did not tell me I couldn't be on antibiotics so then my procedure had to be re-scheduled and pushed yet again. When I showed up for that appt I was told I should have gotten a phone call as they had to cancel all his appts that day.... still waiting. 2 days of work missed and no relief found.

As many pain management doctors are, this doctor is injection happy. He injected without getting imaging... little did he know he injected and caused serious issues with something that was there. Not to mention they should change the name of their "palliative care" center to cancer pain center because they dont take on patients with other SERIOUS conditions besides cancer no matter how much they preach how important palliative care is.
