Excellent surgeon, wonderful bedside manner!
I have seen Dr Hunter for a fractured finger that required surgery and 2 trigger fingers, great results with all.

Unhelpful and did not listen
Not only was Dr. Hunter unable to help or offer any useful guidance, she left me hopeless about my chronic pain when full recovery was possible. She told me I would have to do PT for the rest of my life and try ice to ease my pain, which I had been doing for years (and explained this multiple times). She also me this was an issue I would have to live with forever. Now, just a year later, I am 100% pain free without PT and without the need for daily exercises. I found someone who gave me stretches to target the root cause of my pain instead of the symptoms in my elbows only.

Hand Surgeries
Dr. Hunter is simply the best. My two surgeries for Dupuytren's Contracture could not have gone better, from pre-surgery to post-op follow-up. All my questions and concerns were fully addressed. I could not have asked for better care.

I had a very poor experience with this doctor. She brushed off my fears that my broken bone (a non-displaced elbow fracture) had shifted and then acted in ways that suggested poor medical judgement. I finally consulted another doctor, who took more comprehensive x-rays, which confirmed my fears, and set me on a better treatment path. Had it not been for his intervention, I might have become permanently disabled in my right arm.

I presented an X Ray of my right hand and she gave me a shot in my left hand. Seems hard to believe in this day and age. Dr. Hunter also does not have good bedside manners.

She fixed (surgery) my right hand CTS several years ago. My recovery was quick and my hand function is perfect. I've had no recurrence of issues. Her explaination of the diagnosis, the repair procedure, and my outcome could not have been better. Symptoms are beginning to show up in my left hand (she predicted that based on the thorough test that we're conducted years ago). Even though I moved to TN, I'm considering traveling to New England just to have her be my surgeon again.

My dominant hand was a mess and Dr Hunter did an incredible job fixing it. I was misdiagnosed by a Dr in NH, and so Dr Hunter put my metacarpal bones in place and put a shattered carpal bone back together a month after I broke them. Dr Hunter operated on me just two days after our initial meeting, and she did a fantastic job. I have severe anxiety with this stuff and Dr Hunter couldn’t have been better. Dr Alice Hunter is an all around GREAT doctor.

Dr. Hunter is such a wonderful and caring doctor. I fractured my right wrist and she performed the surgery with adding a plate and screws. She also performed carpal tunnel at the same time. It was a long recovery of about 10 weeks but she was the best. My only goal was to get back to my golf game and she said that I would as long as I followed instructions and did my exercises everyday. I have been golfing all summer thanks to Dr. Hunter she is by far the best hand surgeon around!!!!

She replaced my whole right femur 18 years ago January 2003, from a snowmobile accident. I did wait for her to come into work on a Monday after a accident Sunday but she was well worth the 10 hour wait. I know for a fact she is the best orthopedic surgeon in the world! She cares and has a big heart with patience! I would like to attach a photo of her unbelievable work taken by x-Ray. I broke my femur in 3 and all I have left of my femur is the ball in my hip and about a half a inch above my knee

The condition I had is genetic, Dupuytren's Contracture. Also called it "trigger finger". It's scary to think about needing surgery on your right hand, when you are right-handed. Naturally, I got a list of surgeons from my PC, but, that wasn't good enough for me as I knew she didn't really KNOW them. They just practiced at the hospital she was affiliated with. I checked Boston Magazine where doctors are rated by their PEERS and found Dr. Alice Hunter. Hands down, best doc. No pun intended!

Wonderful !!! She is kind and caring and an excellent sergeant. My carpal tunnel was very bad that I can't even begin to say how painful it was for over 10 years. No sleep and crying with pain. I was taking shots from a different doctor but they stopped working. Someone told me about how good Dr. Hunter it was my 1st time hearing a positive story about this kind of surgery so I went and had her do it and never did I have pain again and that was 4 years ago. Thank you Dr. Hunter.
