I’ve been a patient of Dr. Mao on and off for a little over 20 years. She has the best heart, always sees the best in her patients, and is a true advocate for adults and children with a mental illness. The thing I admire about her also is that she contributes to the teaching of the next generation of mental health professionals.

Made an appointment in March for October (earliest they had available) and they have moved it a month back twice. I don't have confidence they'll keep their word on this date and am looking elsewhere. Horribly unreliable. Thanks for wasting my time.

Awful! Unprofessional. Talked negatively about the previous patient to me. Last minute cancellations and reschedules taking 3-5 months. Was lucky to see her twice per year. The absolute worst experience in any doctor's office ever. Wait times with screaming autistic child 2-2.5 hours. You could hear her gossiping with her staff while you are ready to freak out in the waiting room 1+ hour past your appt time

Dr. Mao is literally the worst physician I have met in my whole life. Her front desk lady is always rude. The wait time is at least 1 hour to 1.5 hours. You may think that she must be busy with other patients and have to have you wait. No, actually, a lot of times, I saw sales person walking out of her office while few patients are waiting for her. She will cancel on you shortly before your appointment. One time it was only 1 hour before my appointment and I was on my way to her office! I was with her for 2 years, but she did not even call me with the right name.

Dr Mao's office was the best office I have been to in a long time. Although she was busy she still took the time to make me feel like I was the only patient there. The young lady that took my initial information and appointment was very friendly. I love Dr Mao and her staff

Do not recommend. If you need a prescription monthly or even every 3 months, she’s wont available to see you. Does not take care of her patients. I booked an appoint with her 3+ months in advance and then her office called and cancelled 5 days before the scheduled appointment. I asked when it was rescheduled for and they said I’ll have to wait 7 weeks. Average wait time for an appointment with Dr. Mao is 5 MONTHS. Beware.

Dr. Mao said to me in front of my daughter that if I had put her in public school years ago, she likely wouldn't have OCD and anxiety disorder now!
