Dr. Alison Tate, MD

I am genuinely confused by some of the negative reviews left. I found Dr. Tate to be personable, helpful, knowledgeable and polite while also getting to the heart of the matter. She provided options and explained what to expect if I go the surgery route.

So far I was very impressed with Dr Tate's straight forward approach.I had questions and they were answered, no nonsense!She spent enough time with me and I feel confident, and she has been highly recommended.I came to here from another Dr that just put me through tests for 6 weeks and then wouldn't help me.

Dr. Tate was professional and thorough with her assessment of my needs. She doesn’t waste your time or her time. She is direct and very focused. She answers all questions asked; it’s obvious she knows her stuff. I felt 100% confident I was in the best hands for my treatment and surgery.

I saw Dr. Tate after a visit to my regular OB to investigate the need for surgery on multiple issues my regular OB had found. Dr. Tate spent less than 2 minutes doing a pelvic exam and said, nope you have no other issues, but let's do a bladder surgery. She appeared to completely dismiss another doctor's findings without even reading my chart. She was rude, curt, and completely cold the entire appointment. I was almost in tears and utterly confused. I asked about the surgery she recommended and she handed me a stack of papers and told me that there was information on Google that I can reference as well. WHAT?? She left and the next call I got was to schedule surgery. NO THANK YOU. I am so glad I declined moving forward with her and sought out a second opinion. I found out that indeed there were the issues my doctor found PLUS more that all needed to be fixed by surgery. Dr. Tate would not only have missed them but potentially endangered my health. My advice... STAY AWAY

Dr. Tate ,after she came in to the room she made feel she had taken time to check my pass visit , which was couple years ago. After my exam she when in detail the best way for me to take care of my problem. I would recommend Doctor Tate to friends.

Would not recommend this doctor to my family or friends. She was snarky and rude. Instead of her telling me why I'm here and why I need the procedure she asked me "why are you here and why are we doing this procedure". It's as though she didn't have a file on me or she never read it.

I saw Dr Tate yesterday and my appointment was horrible to say the least. She was very rude. I left not knowing anymore than I knew before my appointment. Dr Tate was not professional. When she came in the exam room she failed to introduce herself to me, she didn't even verify my name. She just immediately told me to lay back to start my exam. she was very cold and rude. Once my exam started she didnt even bother to walk me through my pelvic exam. Women know how important it is to have a physician let you know before they just shove the spectrum inside you. She was incredibly rough with me. I couldn't believe how I was treated. especially from a doctor that I traveled way across town to see. I literally left in tears. I have been thinking about it all night. My husband wants me to file a report with the medical board and I think I will. Please save your time and money and see someone else.

Dr. Tate was direct and gave great examples of what to expect on my surgery day. She drew out out diagrams to better understand my body. I like the clear cut approach. Her assistant Leslie has been great! I freaked out yesterday and I called and she was incredibly friendly. I’m still scared but less so for my surgery.

I really enjoyed my appointment with Dr. Tate. She was efficient and informative. I got my questions answered.

I had a terrible experience with Dr. Tate. She was rude and I left feeling very uncomfortable. I chose not to move forward with a procedure because of her unprofessionalism, there was no way I was going to let her operate on me. It was a pointless and very expensive appointment. I'm upset that I finally had the courage to move forward with making a change to a health situation that has a negative impact on my life and am now set back from doing that.

She is an excellent surgeon!

I am extremely lucky to have found Dr. Tate and be treated by her. She has great expertise in gynecological oncology needs, and performed robotic surgery that I desperately needed. Her office gave me an appointment in two days, on time waits, I received personal phone call follow-ups, and they were very professional. She then referred me to my next surgeon. It is truth that my doctors saved my life, and she greatly contributed to this. Extremely thankful to Dr. Tate - highly recommend.

Dr Tate urged me to have a procedure on my bladder that in retrospect I didn’t need, and ended up leaving me worse off than before. She did not discuss with me the possibility that my symptoms would worsen. She’s curt, always 30 min late, and won’t look you in the eye

Honest, knowledgeable and has a great bedside manner!
