Worth the wait
Waited two years and I finally feel better. I have hEDS and my life was shrinking every month before PRISM. I started with Dr Z and am amazed that she built all of this. I went from being a full-time, busy professional to part time remote to disability. Today, I will return to my office. Dr McIntosh and Dr Wright took over my care when Dr Z got sicker. I was nervous, but they awesome. Another doctor (not PRISM) wanted to inject my neck bc of neck pain, but Dr Wright explaingoed eI joints and shoulders were probably causing neck issues. She did prolotherapy which helped so much. I was diagnosed in 2020 and have seen so many 'EDS Specialists' w no improvement. Everyone here is caring and kind and knowledgeable. I never thought I could hiking again or even grocery shopping. Grocery shopping is fine now, and I have been doing gentle hikes the past two weekends. For the first time since COVID and the hEDS diagnosis, I am looking ahead and planning trips.

Great Care
This practice is 100% worth the wait list for people dealing with chronic connective tissue problems. The whole team is amazing, and they all care deeply about what they do. I've only been going for a couple weeks, but I've already seen a huge difference in pain levels and am learning new ways to improve my relationship with my body. The cherry on top is how lovely, warm, and funny everyone working at the practice is. I'm so grateful for all their help!

Dr. Zingman and her team are amazing. I have struggled for years to find effective treatment for various unexplained issues and this is the first time I feel like my health is improving. I have been under her care for a few weeks and have already seen an improvement.

Dr. Zingman's practice has saved my life. I spent a year fighting to get doctors to listen. In 2018 a car accident caused a huge EDS, MCAS, and POTS flare. I kept getting worse and everyone said, "it's just your eds," "it's just your stress from graduate school," etc. Dr. Zingman looked at me as a whole patient. She was able to diagnose me with CCI and referred me to a neurosurgeon she works closely with who confirmed that the CCI and Arnold Chiari were causing compression of my brainstem. This led me to a urologist who diagnosed me with tethered cord, explaining why I became bound to a mobility scooter. After an occiput-c2 fusion and Arnold Chiari decompression, I moved from VA to Silver Spring just to continue care with Prism. They are the first office that has supported me and validated my pain. They have taught me so much about my body, all while being kind, caring, and supportive. Nothing beats having a doctor who has EDS herself! Dr. Z is motivating, inspiring, and hilarious.

I have worked with Dr. Zingman and her team for a few months through chronic hip and back pain. She takes a holistic and comprehensive approach. She was able to identify the root cause of my issue which was that my ribs and hips were rotated and related to an old ankle injury. I was walking unevenly and it affected everything, even how I sit. When I started I could only sit for maybe 15 minutes at a time and now I can sit for an hour and a half without back pain. I can walk farther, ride my bike, and play yard games with my daughter without pain. This is by far the best experience I've ever had at a doctor's office.

Dr. Zingman is kind, patient and comprehensive. She actually reviewed all of my prior surgical notes and examined me thoroughly. Her treatments are a miracle. I have progressed from using a walker and sometimes even a wheelchair to walking without even a cane except for long distances. My pain is so much better. I'm more aware of my body. I am so grateful to her. We are lucky to have her here.

Dr Zingman’s practice is a miracle. After seeing her and being adjusted by her and her team I wanted to cry tears of joy because it is the best I had felt since my EDS diagnosis two years ago. I love being around the office because it’s a place where I feel safe since most of the other patients have EDS too, and the providers at PRISM are so talented, caring, and fun. I also love Dr. Zingman’s down to earth manner. She is incredibly smart and knows what she is doing! Very rare when it comes to ehlers-danlos....

Dr Zingman created a program that improved more than just my Ehlers-Danlos spine and joint issues. I feel better and am more active than I anticipated possible. Though initially resistant to the idea of another diagnosis, I followed the (very easy to implement) diet and lifestyle changes necessary to improve symptoms of MCAS and my quality of life improved immeasurably. Dr Z’s approach to medicine is spectacularly refreshing. She told me during intake her goal was to help me build the skills to take care of myself, stop relying on pain medication, and to avoid unnecessary surgeries. She was extremely thoughtful in creating a treatment program tailored specifically to my level of functioning and personal EDS management goals. She and her team still help me by answering all follow-up questions regarding posture, pain and fatigue management, diet, exercise techniques, etc. I am able and encouraged to be more active than before and owe it to Dr Zingman and the rest of her talented team.

Dr Zingman was the first doctor I had the pleasure of working with. EDS is so complex and confusing and scary and depressing. It’s easy to lose hope. She understood exactly what was going on, and knew how to treat all the various symptoms, which previously were discounted and ignored. For the first time I felt relief and comfort knowing she was on my side. I finally feel safe and most importantly, I am hopeful for the future.

Went to see if I fit the criteria for EDS. The Dr did not prepare me that she would also be looking to diagnosis POTS abd MCAS. This was extremely overwhelming and emotional for me as I was not prepared to get three new diagnoses, each of which required (in the Dr's opinion) extensive follow-up work (additional doctors, expensive tests, new medications, radical life style changes). She is overly risk-adverse and judged me for wanting to maintain my active lifestyle. Her treatment plan and approach to EDS was wildly different and aggressive compared to other medical professionals I spoke to. She was extremely rude to the chiropractor who she works with which I thought was very unprofessional. The turn around time from admin is extremely slow or non-existent. Including no one being in the office when I arrived. She is very relaxed/casual to the point of being unprofessional. They way she spoke about and to me with dismissive, uncomfortable, and often times rude. 0/10 would not recommend.
