Dr. Fleming saved my entire face!
I had been previously diagnosed and my former oncologist was readying me for a complete removal of my jaw and lower palate when my boss recommended my getting a second opinion from Dr. Fleming. Dr. Fleming cleared his entire afternoon to redo most of the tests done previously on me, and then came up with a plan that rid my body of all cancer, allowing me to keep my face intact. Having the lower half of my face removed is not something I could have ever come back from. I can never repay Dr. Fleming for his help! He is wonderful, and has the kindest bedside manner as well!

Excellent bedside manner
My husband was a frequent flyer at KU Med in 2003 and 2004. Allan has the most wonderful bedside manner. Being diagnosed with terminal cancer at 52 is devastating, especially when you have 2 teens and 2 tweens (12 year old twins). My husband was hospitalized countless times in those 20 months, and Allan was the voice of calm that we all needed.
