My Hero
I suffered a C2-C-7 fracture with spinal cord compression six and a half years ago after a traumatic fall. I too was fortunate enough to have Dr. Nanney as the neurosurgeon on call. There is no doubt this brilliant surgeon saved my life and my family and I will be forever grateful.

Dr. 3
Dr. Allan Nanney was the only neurosurgeon that would operate on me after new broken hardware. I had a decently bad accident in 2018 where I went off a 15 foot decline. It destroyed my spine. Unstable burst fracture among other things. I was operated on immediately at MCR within the hour. Six months later I was in another car accident where I just had a new vertebrae fracture under the new hardware. I was in a significant amount of pain. The docs at Poudre Valley Hospital I believe didn’t have a medical degree. They diagnosed completely wrong. They said “I should not be in this much pain. 2 weeks later I could not go on. The pain was nothing I’ve ever experienced. I finally got X-rays and they showed fractures through the new hardware. I’m telling you, I could not walk. It took several months searching for a neurosurgeon that would act under extreme controversy to save my life. This doc performed a heavenly surgery, otherwise I was going to put the barrel in my mouth.

Recently received a second opinion and it turns out I have degenerative disc and there is a surgical option to help me. My new surgeon says I am so young I need it as to where Dr. nanny said I was too young to operate on. I was also told by Dr. nanney that I was making up my symptoms and I couldn't possibly be in pain. I don't understand why he is great to some people and not to others.

Zero stars. Worst doctor experience of my life and they're trying to silence me. I am not allowed to write a real review unless it's nice. I was made to feel less than human and reduced reduced to tears in three minutes. Zero empathy. Horrible

My life has changed! Many thanks to Dr. Nanney and his surgical brilliance. For more than 30 years, I have had chronic back problems and debilitating pain which resulted in 5 back surgeries. All of the procedures were merely a bandaid to the underlying problem. The constant pain was becoming intolerable and l was losing the use of my leg. Dr. Nanney and his surgical team performed a procedure to stabilize my lower back. I am now virtually pain free! With therapy I am regaining the use of my leg. I highly recommend Dr. Nanney and his specialized team for their exceptional knowledge and skill. Both he and his support staff are kind, efficient and give diligent care to their patients.

This surgery was the most terrifying event that I,ve ever been thru. I was fortunate to have the best surgeon and be in the best care facility in all of Colorado. Dr Nanney believed in me and let me recover in the comfort of my home. I have since made great progress and am healing very quickly. I would like to Thank him for his expertise in performing a very difficult surgery but also as a compassionate human being. Forever Grateful, Bobby Swanson

Dr Nanney is an amazing surgeon. I HIGHLY recommend him and am so grateful he was my surgeon to replace my cervical disc after my auto accident. I’m doing better than ever and attribute that to Dr. Nanny’s surgical skill and expertise. Plus, his calm, caring demeanor helped me feel safe and in good hands prior to the surgery, which really eased mine and my family’s fears. He’s just wonderful. Thank you so much!!

I had pain in my right leg that started to become weak. I was told it might be my back. My family doctor sent me to Dr. Nanney. After an MRI was done I was scheduled to get the disc removed that was causing the leg problem. The surgery was done and I returned to work 3 days later. The pain was gone. I am extremely happy with Dr. Nanney.
