The Best Cardio/Thoracic Surgeon You will find!!
DR. Stewart Performed Ascending Aortic surgery on my Aorta. That was tearing, he saved my life! However, I started strenous activity soon after my surgery, and dislodged one of the Titanium plates attached to my sternum, Dr.Stewart performed an operation, that took one half hour, and I was able to leave the hospital a half hour later! Dr. Stewart pefforms the most Complicated Surgeries with ease! The Hospital and Staff Always do an Incredible job as well !!!

Excellent surgeon and person. Dr. Stewart performed surgery on me in 2014 for a congenital anomaly of my aorta; specifically, an extra artery which extended from my heart and wrapped behind my esophagus ( choking me at times - dysphagia ). I spoke with several surgeons across the country but Dr. Stewart was the only one whose surgical plan was so minimal that it avoided open heart surgery and a thoracotomy. All the while still having a CABG and multiple stents being placed. I flew to NYC from Missouri and spent ONE night in the hospital. Dr. Stewart spent his time explaining the procedure to my family and myself and was extremely personable. I highly recommend him.

Ten years ago I had a bi-cuspid aortic valve and a 5 cm. aortic aneurysm. Dr. Stewart saw me the next day, scheduled surgery for the following week, and I was out of the hospital in five days. In six weeks I was a new man. My family and I have complete confidence in Dr. Stewart and the excellent work he does.

Dr Stewart repaired and replaced my aortic arch , part of which had been repaired from a disection. The graft or sleeve had come apart and had to be removed and cleaned out. He then replaced the arch. I was out of the hospital in 6 days, quite a difference from the 27 day stay 6 years ago. He is self assured, he is confident but remains personable and genuine. I am thankful that I chose to have him as my surgeon, he undoubtedly saved my life.

Because of his outstanding reputation,I travelled to N.Y.from San I Francisco to become a patient of Dr.Stewart. In October 2016 he replaced my aortic valve ,outstanding result. He is so selfconfident, he inspires confidence in the patient. I recently visited N.Y. and as usual I asked for a follow-up visit with Dr. Stewart. As he was between hospitals,he decided to make a "house call" and came to my daughter's apartment. How many world class surgeons do that .. His nurse Debbie is also awesome,
