Wouldn't Recommend
I went in complaining of throbbing pain behind my ear & neck area. Told Dr. it was an ongoing issue for many weeks & it was getting worse. Reviewed my CT scan and diognosed as a left possible lymph node issue. I was sent home to monitor. I called back 2 weeks later to tell him that the pain was getting worse and over phone was put on antibiotics. Called back 2 weeks later after antibiotics and was told to come in a week later. During the visit advised to continue monitoring because he didn't want to explore and do surgery on a lymph node which he didn't think was causing the left neck pain (so I went home with no answers on what to do next!@). Fast forward weeks later the pain became to unbearable and was keeping me up at night. So I went to the Clovis emergency room because of so much pain. Clovis Dr. LISTENED to all my ongoing issues & did an MRI scan. They Found a tumor that was causing my issue, NOT a lymph node!

Did very little to understand my medical issues/pain that I was having behind my ear. Misdiagnosed me, believing it was a lymph nodes issue and it turned out to be a tumor in my crainal which I eventually had surgery on a month later.

Excellent bed side manner
Scheduling was smooth and the pre registration packet sent to my home made checking in a breeze. I was informed there may be a slight wait for Dr Evan's and I was completely ok with that. He was extremely thorough and had a few extra scans done on my neck once to rule out issues with a few concerning lymph nodes in my neck. Dr Evan's was kind and courteous and has old school bed side manner that was greatly appreciated. The tech that did my neck scan was easy to talk to and made me comfortable during the exam. Whole experience was smooth and easy.

Dr. Evans is of the "command" school of doctoring - my way or the highway kinda guy - rather impressed with himself - no doubt he has good technical skills, but he has a closed mind and a one size fits all approach that is not consistent with the latest research, so I had to go to San Francisco to see a better M.D.

Dr. Evans has been a Godsend. His talents, compassion, dedication and professionalism are the main reason I'm alive today. I 2002 I came down with Stage 4 throat cancer. It was under his fine care I managed to survive...barely, but survive I did. I cannot imagine a finer doctor, or man. He exudes character, integrity and sincerity. Doctor Evans is, without a doubt, one of the very best doctors we have.

While I had a referral based on high praise for his skills as a surgeon I would not suggest him to anyone I know. He almost bullying in his delivery of what he thought how I should proceed. He didn't have a conversation with me, but gave a directive. He scoffed at questions. He didn't look at me in the eyes and I felt like a patient with a number and not a person. I was so disappointed.
