As a Neurosurgeon he is the best!
Dr. K takes the time to hear you out and educates you as you chat with him. He is patient, understanding and cares about your overall health, not just what you are there for. He will not rush into any decision without 1st seeing all the data, exams, etc. Only wish it didn't take so long to wait to see him once you are there. But then again, you are being seen by the best in the field!

The Best & Most Intelligent Dr.
Dr. K replaced my dads VP shunt from Univ of Penn hospital from Medtronic to a shunt that works with your body . You can go through TSA no problem. Have an MRI. He listens and he really thinks about your whole person and what other Drs have said and then you and he make decisions. He is very respectful and cares more than many docs theses day. An easy problem - HES got it. If you have a complex problem no one better to assemble a team and figure it out!

Dr. Kantrowitz is a healer
After four previous back surgeries I was diagnosed with Failed Back Syndrome; simply stated it means my prior surgeries had a better-than-even possibility they did more harm than good. I was in pain and holding tight to a walker. “Dr. K” looked at my MRI and we sat and talked about my options, my lifestyle, my age, and even my hobbies. I soon realized this man was wicked smart, caring, and genuinely concerned with me as a person and not just another patient. I liked him. We (and it was a decision we both made) agreed on a spinal fusion. This surgery was a lot more involved with a longer recovery time than I had previously. But Dr. K talked me through it all...what would happen and what to expect. A road map Now, just over a year later - I am now up and walking, driving, and looking at travel options again. His staff is professional, personable, efficient, and understanding. I cannot praise them enough. Perhaps my best review is simply … Dr. Kantrowitz gave me back my life.

He Really Cares About Your (overall) Well-Being
Dr Kantrowitz is a physician who really cares. Dr Kantrowitz listens to everything the patient has to say. He does not rush to any conclusion until he has ALL relevant information. He is extremely thorough. He answers all questions and explains complex medical conditions and their possible treatment in simple understandable English. He does not leave any stone unturned to "get you healthy". He cares about your overall well being. He and his office staff are by your side to navigate the complex bureaucracy of the hospital to make sure you get all the prescribed services. You are in excellent, safe and very experienced hands when you are Dr Kantrowitz's patient. I very, very, very highly recommend him.

Excellent all around
Second time I had surgery by Dr Kantrowitz. I found him to be an excellent listener, nice personality and a great physician. Twice he fix my back problems, show a lot of care and good humor. His team has always been, the same as him, very careful that all the issues I have has been taken care of. Having been a person with a lot of medical problems and having seen a lot of doctors, I have found that Dr Kantrowitz is one of the best in all aspects. Highly recommend him, as a physician, surgeon and as an individual.

Amazing surgeon, saved my life !
Hi, My name is Myriam, I am a 36 year old female, and a patient of Doctor Allen Kantrowitz, who has literally saved my life. I started having first symptoms about five months ago. I felt that the entire left side of my body was asleep, and step by step it was becoming paralyzed. After an IRM and first appointments with his fellow doctors, I was diagnosed with a huge brain tumor. Doctor Kantrowitz delivered that devastating news to me with a lot of compassion and humanity. That kind of neurosurgery is considered amongst the most complicated, most complex and exposed to high risk. Dr. Krantowitz succeeded without any complications. The entire team and all fellow doctors who treated me, agreed and called this a true miracle. I have no physical nor mental constraints and didn't suffer any side effects from surgery or anything. I am feeling actually super well. I am infinitly grateful to Dr. Kantrowitz for having given me a second chance in my life. A BIG THANK YOU, amazing surgeon.

I have been seeing Dr. Kantrowitz for four years, since I was struck by a car walking across the street. and I have always been wildly enthusiastic about him, and have recommended him on every occasion possible. However, although I am willing to put in the hours long wait when I arrive for appointments, what I have been disheartened by a string of appointment cancellations, four over the past two months. So, even though I still would give him five stars when you get to see him, my more recent experience tempers my recommendation.

Dr. Kantrowitz is the best. When other doctors said there was nothing they could do, he showed me the problem that they missed. A month later I had surgery and my pain was gone. A year later, I feel great! I am 100%. Be patient. He is worth it.

Dr. Kantrowitz was extremely proficient and his staff professional. His demeanor was confident and probing to attain an abundance of causal elements for my condition (Lumbar Spinal Stenosis). He was accommodating to schedule me so that I could make the trip from Key West in one day and return the following business day with new CT and X-ray Disc to help his diagnosis.

Dr. Kantrowitz, whom I first met on a consult eight years ago, expressed the same concern and offered understanding and compassionate care as I’ve now become an active patient. He spent an inordinate amount of time with me as we sorted through MRIs and reports. I heartily recommend Dr. Kantrowitz.

For a well known doctor, he probably has the worst office staff I’ve encountered. Waited 2 hours to see doctor and entered to be met by his PA. No fault of hers but none of the 3 female staff advised he was not in the office. I would have left but they want to charge $$$ to insurance as an office visit. My three prior appointments were cxxld the day before. All I wanted was a diagnose of X-rays taken months before. A simple call from his regular PA would have been great but she never followed up. NO one returns phone calls in the office. One good note, the new PA (Jessica I think) was great. I will not be returning to the office, so can’t answer if the doctor is knowledgeable. Maybe if they stop double booking, but it’s a money making factory.
