She's Amazing!!!
Dr. Abraira is amazing!!! She always takes the time to listen to any concerns I have. She's the first doctor who seemed to really care when I bring something up, and she takes the time to explain things well. Wait times can be a while, but that's because she is giving all of her patients the time they need to be informed of their health.

Dr. Amanda Abraira (formerly Dr. Brauss) is AMAZING and you are very lucky if have the pleasure of being her patient. She was the first doctor I saw when I came in for my first appointment as a new patient. She's very friendly and bubbly and just has an awesome personality and bedside manner all around. She made me and my husband both feel very comfortable. On my first visit, I told her that I was wanting to get pregnant and asked if she would be able to remove my IUD so that I could start trying. She respected what I wanted and removed my IUD for me that day. She talked to me about what to expect and things I needed to do to prepare for my first pregnancy and answered any questions I had. She said that it could be expected that I could get pregnant as soon as in the next two months and she was right on the money! I got pregnant two months after Amanda had removed my IUD and so I called and made an appointment to get my first pregnancy checkup. I ended up seeing all of the different doctors in the clinic throughout my visits during my pregnancy but Amanda was the one who was there from start to finish. Amanda also delivered my baby herself and as painful as childbirth was, I am certain that she made the process as smooth as one could hope for. After going into labor, I was struggling to make any progress for several hours. Once Amanda stepped in she got down to business and things started moving along much faster. My husband and I couldn't stop raving about what an outstanding job she did in the delivery room. This woman has delivering babies down to an art. I had been dealing with horrible postpartum anxiety, postpartum depression, and postpartum panic attacks so bad before my first postpartum checkup with Amanda that I ended up in the ER and so I had already been to my primary care doctor about that. I let Amanda know about how bad these issues were and she was very sympathetic and helpful. It was apparent that she took these issues very seriously. She wanted to make sure that I had already addressed these issues with my primary care doctor and said she would have made sure to get me help if I hadn't already. Today, I went back in to have a new IUD inserted which was done by Amanda as well. Having an IUD inserted is quite uncomfortable but it was MUCH quicker and easier this time when she did it than when I had had one put in before at another clinic. I'm SO SO SO glad that I had Amanda though out this entire journey. I had moved an hour away from Spartanburg & Pelham OB-GYN where she was located and I had considered having my care transferred to a closer OB-GYN clinic but I am very happy that I chose to stay because I definitely couldn't have had anyone better for this whole experience.

Glad I saw Dr. Brauss
Dr. Brauss was friendly and efficient. She gave a diagnosis after exam and prescribed medication that took care of my problem. I would recommend her to anyone who needs a gynecologist.
