Dr. Amanda Born, MD

Amanda Born has been my doctor since 2016. She is a wonderful doctor and St. Vincent is a wonderful hospital. They found my breast cancer and she was a part of my surgery team, removing my ovaries and my fallopian tubes. She did a wonderful job.

Dr. Born was thorough in my exam. She listened to my concerns and addressed them.

Poor bedside manner. Did not seem compassionate about a problem I am having. Said she would call in a prescription that never came in. Saw her on a Friday morning and had to go all weekend without that script. Will not return.

Nothing really stood out. She just sounded like she was going through a check list. Not bad but I didn't receive a great service. The staff are nice going but I don't see how she could be booked. I've seen other OBGYN doctors and I didn't really get the comforting feeling or more like a caring doctor.

Dr Born is the best OB I’ve ever seen. She’s competent, experienced, and knowledgeable. She and her office are quick and efficient without sacrificing respectfulness and a personal touch. They talk the time to explain and talk through things but they don’t waste your time and the office runs smoothly and efficiently. Ive delivered 2 babies with this practice and I can’t recommend it enough!

Dr. Born is very thorough, too the point gives you all the attention you need.

I saw Dr. Born for a surgery, I use to see a midwife. I expressed valid concerns about surgery and she said “if you don’t feel comfortable, don’t do the surgery” vs. agreeing to do clotting testing or reassuring it wouldn’t be an issue. Upon meeting for the first time at surgery. She was very short and when she asked if I was sure I wanted the surgery, I stated yes and why. Her response was “I don’t need to know why- just needed to hear you say it” and then left the room. That was the last I saw hee until the OR. I came in 2 weeks post-op for a possible infection in the incision. I showed up and she ended up switching to have a different provider see me. Which was very off putting that she did not care to see a patient she just did surgery on to check the infection herself. If I wasn’t in a time crunch with insurance, I would’ve absolutely switched offices. I will not recommend Dr. Born. I felt she lacked compassion and bed side manner.

Dr. Born is short and sweet to the point. Appreciate her care and willingness to listen.

I found Dr. born to be very kind and very helpful and very thorough. I enjoyed working with her staff and they were very professional and very thorough also.

I found Dr. Born to be quite thorough in her clinical approach to me as a new patient of non childbearing years. She patiently answered all of my questions and provided excellent guidance, instilling confidence in her as a practitioner.

She's very young and has no compassion for this post menopausal woman. She was short and disinterested with anything I had to say. I'm sure OB patients are where she makes her money. I get it. Won't be back.

Dr. Born delivered my first baby and we were so impressed with her and her entire office staff. She is incredibly calm, which helped us remain calm as well during delivery. Her office staff answers questions via the portal very quickly. I’m now pregnant again and couldn’t imagine anyone else delivery our second baby

Definitely didn’t have a good experience. She walked in without reviewing my chart. Did not answer any of my questions. Complete waste of time.

Respectful, thorough and listens.

Very respectful of my choices and needs for my body during and after pregnancy. Post partum she has continued to be a trusted provider. She listens to my concerns and works with me to solve any issues I have.

Thorough discussion and calming presence. Allows the patient to lead the appointment. Left my appointment feeling like I was heard and all my concerns were addressed.

Going for my annual OBGYN appointment is not something I look forward to but having Dr. Born as my physician makes the visit much more pleasurable! She takes the time to ask about how I’m doing both personally & medically.

She is always listening and talks real talk! I am always relaxed with Dr Born because she gets to the bottom of my problems.

Dr Born is really great and caring OB , I moved to Carmel as emergency in my late pregnancy and She accept me as new pt , Despite lack of time she went through my records and explained everything in details for me , during my delivery she stays with me ,despite it was not her shift and it was very supportive and made me calm . If you are looking for caring and supportive ob , I really recommend her .

I never met Dr. Born until my 12 week appointment (which happened to be 2 days after a miscarriage). I spent more time in my early weeks with the NP and a partner during my Er and day after miscarriage. When I finally meet Dr. Born we only talked and sent home to wait it out. Didn't need a check up later unless I wanted to. Did end up with issues after. Had to come back. I wasn't impressed with the nurse staff or concerns to medical issues. Had better care in Er. Was a nightmare..
