Excellent Surgeon
Dr Ivy is an excellent surgeon and professional. She performed surgery on my shoulder 3 years ago so when surgery was needed on my knee, I insisted on going back to her. I recommend Dr Ivy for your Orthopedic needs. TSAOG’s staff is fantastic. The physical therapy team is top notch. They are personable and work directly with you through your recovery.

Highly recommend Dr. Ivy!
Dr. Ivy has been my orthopedist for almost 15 years and has always provided excellent care. When I have needed to be referred to another specialist (pain specialist, hip and knee replacement, hand surgery), I have always been very pleased with the referred surgeon. She was the on-call surgeon for my father when he broke his femur at age 95 and she did his rotator cuff repair when dad was 96. He had a wonderful recovery with both surgeries. I am currently recovering from a rotator cuff repair and I couldn't be more pleased with how my recovery is progressing.

A great surgeon!
Dr Ivy has now done two meniscus surgeries on me. The first one was A plus. The second one was more like I’d just had surgery. Honestly, I was so sure the second one was going to be like the first one that I totally overdid my activities the day after surgery instead of following her instructions. That’s just me. I’m 71 years old and still think I’m 40. Anyway, I can’t think of anyone who wouldn’t like using Dr Ivy as their orthopedic doc.

6 months wasted
Horrible! Sent here by ER for broken shoulder. Showed her my ER X-rays—didn’t seem too interested or concerned. Told me to continue wearing sling and sent home with appt. 3 weeks later. Another X-ray then brushed off and prescribed (sentenced me to) PT. Horribly painful under the circumstances. Continued office visits (more X-rays and told I was doing fine). After 5 months of PT at their facility I was released from her care. Can’t help but wonder how much damage was done by PT (included bench pressing toward the end) with a broken shoulder. Don’t recall her touching my shoulder more than a few times, never checking my range of motion. After seeing my regular orthopedist, turned out I needed a reverse total shoulder replacement due to rotator cuff damage (was never discussed). Thankfully doing much better now, no thanks to Dr. Ivy.

3 times and counting
Thanks Dr Amanda Ivy & TSAOG TEAM. April 2020, Dr Ivy did a right shoulder surgery repair of my labrum & bicep tendon. Dec 2020, I’m back for a right knee meniscus tear. Now May 2023, I tear 3 ligaments & lateral meniscus in my left knee, back to Dr Ivy. Each surgery has been successful & I have come back to work as a firefighter & full activities such as Jiu Jitsu & weight training. She cares for her patients well being & explains each part of the procedure in detail before ever making an incision. I highly recommend Dr Amanda Ivy for any of your surgical needs, especially if you’re an athlete. Her team & staff are beyond courteous & helpful in every way, from initial appointment to post op & physical therapy. OUTSTANDING!!!

Dependable & Skilled
Normally people will say a doctor is great, the best or excellent. Dry Ivy is all of those things, but she is precise, skilled, knowledgeable, willing to go to extra lengths to help you reach the best quality of life you can reach in your current circumstance. She shows genuine empathy towards her patients, she follows through with aftercare, takes time to answer questions, and most importantly, what sets her apart from any other doctor my family has seen, she stays invested in her patient's long term plan. This might not seem big, but when you have a 13 year old who tore his ACL and must live his life in a brace to be active until he is atleast 19, it's extremely soothing for the kid and the parent to know Dr. Ivy will be there for his future surgery and not have to worry about going through a handful of other surgeons.

Dr. Ivy is an awesome lady. She is to the point and very helpful. Come to find out I had arthritis in my knee. I want in very bad pain. Now she fixed the problem with steroid in the knee (did not hurt me) and now I can walk on it so much better. She was quick and understanding. I give her a 10 star.
