My child’s pediatrician suddenly dropped him without warning when he was 2 months old because he was on Medicaid. We found Dr Mathews in a moment of scrambling and desperation and we’ve been with her for 6 years! She sees the whole family too. She is very calm and not alarmist about anything. When we have insurance issues she helps us deal with them and is very professional! I highly recommend her as a PCP and family doc for all ages.

Dr. Matthews is in excellent physician. She takes her time. She's observant and picks up on things. She answers your questions. She explains things and explains her reasoning. She's very thorough. You and her are a team. You participate in your health care. She doesn't just make decisions and tell you what she's going to do. She asks for your input. She gives suggestions and lets you choose what you want to do.

My daughter was recently admitted to the hospital and Dr. Mathews was her attending physician. Dr. Mathews was an absolute wonder to have. My daughter is generally afraid of doctors at her little age of 2, but with Dr. Mathews she was calm and relaxed. That makes it much easier as a parent to go through the routine without the screaming and crying. Her bedside manner is by far the best I have ever experienced, even from my own experiences.
