Excellent experiences
My kids and I have been going to Dr. Steves since 2015. She is patient, kind, knowledgeable, and knows who to refer us to if our health issues are beyond basic family medicine.

Where Did Amber Steves Go?
Dr. Steves was my PCP at Assoc in Family Medicine. Does anyone know where she went? I would like to follow her to her new practice. I understand that since Village Medical took over, practitioners and staff are very unhappy and leaving Assoc in Family Medicine in large numbers.

Medical Gaslighting
The New York Times has an article on medical gaslighting and it triggered me. Years ago I saw Dr. Steves and she did everything mentioned in article. I was brave to see a doctor to get help for my physical pain and hair loss, but she was not wanting to help at all. From dismissing my pain to blaming it on mental illness, she checked off every mark. Thank you, NYT for educating me on this. I will NEVER trust another doctor who dismisses my pain again, shame on her.

I saw Dr. Steves during my recent pregnancy with my third child. She listened well to all of my concerns and always had suggestions for discomforts, etc. that I had. She and her office were very responsive any time I called in with questions. I felt a little unsure about seeing a family medicine doctor instead of an OB/GYN for this pregnancy but I was very happy with the experience and felt very comfortable with Dr. Steves.

She is always present in appointments. Great listener, and provides great suggestions when needed. Any time I had a concern she has problem solve, and took each one seriously with best practice in mind. I am happy to have her as my Dr and my son's pediatrician.

I have never had a doctor that refused to offer some kind of help for at least some of my symptoms, until I met Dr. Steves.(is that even legal? I am not sure it should be) I am honestly blown away by this and worry about other patients that may receive the same response. Not to mention, completely dismissing a potentially serious test result. I will be looking for another doctor.

I have seen Dr. Steves since she started her residency in Colorado, when she graduated, my family and I followed her to Associates in Family medicine. She is an amazing listener, truly cares and most importantly she is a fantastic physician. I recommend Dr. Steves so often I worry she will get too busy when I want to see her!

Overall she is a nice person, but absolutely unwilling to help if you require any kind of medication that may be addictive. In the past I would have liked that about her, but I was recently diagnosed with a serious disease and have an anxiety disorder. Not a good combination. She should have refereed me out, but just let me suffer. I agree with the other reviewer who felt like she thought I was a drug seeker.
