When a Good Doctor Goes Bad
After 15 years I had to break up with Dr. Parikh. He used to be fabulous, not any more. Suddenly they can't get my name right. I see arrogant, holier-than-thou PAs. One jacks the seat up so she is staring down her nose at you. One PA tried to prescribe meds I can not take because of another condition and told me 'Well we can't force you to take them'. As predicted I had a very unpleasant reaction, passed out, fell on the sidewalk and broke two teeth. Went back, a different PA insisted on prescribing meds I had unpleasant reactions to before. Had another bad reaction, called the office, never heard back (it's been 3 months). I feel like his practice is now just a production factory. It's a shame he was a talented and caring physician. Probably still a great person but is running an awful practice.

Do Not Recommend
I agree with the most recent response. Dr. Parikh was once a very caring doctor and concerned with his patient's welfare. Now he has a new office and a new set up where patients can only see him every 3 office visits. The problem with this is that patients will see different nurse practitioners at every appointment. No continuity of care between appointments. When you see Dr. Parikh now he treats the appointment more like a social visit, lack of urgency, lack of concern, and lack of accountability.

Downfall of a once great practice.
I have been a patient of Dr. P for 11 yrs. I always enjoyed meeting with him. I have not actually seen Dr. P for a couple of years. I hear him talking while at my appointments but have always had a different Dr. now that he has expanded his practice. About a year ago I got a bill for 3 YEARS that amounted to $3500. I have always told the office staff that I have a deductible. They say 'We will bill after we submit to your insurance.' It took me a month going through EOB's from my insurance to reconcile it. I left over 20 voicemails and NEVER got a call back. I ended up sending my check via CERTIFIED MAIL to be certain it was received. I then called and left messages for SIX months trying to confirm the account was balanced. I finally got a returned message that my balance was 0. Now I need his approval for a throat scoping. I had a visit 2 wks prior . Been 4 mos, now they respond and require 2 procedures b4 singing me off. I am 62, no heart issues. He is milking me for $$$ Stay away.

I am from Michigan, but needed a cardiologist for my 6 months in Fl. I started with Parikh in 2018 & thought he was good. The following year I had some issues with Afib in Mich & needed follow up tests in Florida with Dr. Parikh & have them sent to my Cardiologist in Mich. I couldn't get past his nurse with the request--she kept wanting to set up appointments to see the Dr & then the tests, & all I needed was the EKG & have the results sent to Mich. She argued with me for close to a month & finally agreed to set it up. Afterwards, she wanted to make an appointment again. All I needed was the test & send it to Michigan! Then afterwards she called to set another appointment as "there was something wrong in the EKG the doctor needed to see me". My Michigan cardiologist said there was nothing wrong with the EKG. Due to this experience, I had to drop Dr. Parikh to get a more agreeable office to deal with. Sometimes offices need to do some courtesy requests when you're living in 2 states

I think Dr Parikh is an excellent cardiologist and highly personable but his office administration/management has become a nightmare. His TeleHealth process is a total mess. I've had two such appointments so far and they botched both of them to the extent that the calls did not even happen. I have been his patient dating back to his prior practice (so 15+ years) but his office staff and his churning through PA's is driving me to look for another cardiologist. Almost forgot, wait times have become intolerable also. The low rating is strictly based on his support staff. Otherwise it would be a 5.0.

At one point we felt truly blessed to be in the Dr.'s care. As his practice has grown though, you see PA's, others...and the management of his office has gotten worse and worse. Sadly his care is now below average and we must move on. Maybe this review will help him get off his "5 star" high and realize going Hollywood hasn't been a good thing. Big decline.

He is the best! Ask G.P. doctors. His focus is to prevent any more heart problems. He is proactive, knowledgeable of all new procedures and tests and has the best bedside manner. He really cares and it shows. He treat every patient as if they were his own father.

Dr Parikh is one of the best doctors I've ever had in terms of bed side manner. He completely invests the time with a patient WITH THE PATIENT. He's interested and committed to making sure you as the patient feel as though your questions and concerns have been answered. He's not at all impatient or pushy or rushing to get to the next room. This could account for the longer waits but it's a worthwhile tradeoff for me. Knowing I have the time to resolve my concerns is priceless.

Very excessive waits. I have been to the office three times now and have waited over an hour each time, have only seen Dr Parikh once. I felt like I was pushed into an unnecessary test based on the normal part of patient care instead of on my history and having no symptoms and also my age. I am on a fixed income and the results were good. The staff is very pleasant but it kinda feels like assembly line care.

I have never sought to review an MD before. But in Amish Parikh's case I felt it needed since I've been so grossly disappointed with other medical practices in the past. Though waits may be excessive, the staff is delightful, maintaining a pleasant and professional demeanor. The ancillary medical staff were compassionate as I get nervous. And the doctor provided profound diagnostic info I needed to hear and a care plan that I was comfortable and confident in from his extensive explanation.
