Dr. Amor De La Cruz, MD

I could never see this doctor and when I did it was awful. I was paneled with this doctor 4 years ago and I have not seen her but 2 times. Once for heart and other issue. I felt she did not care one bit. She offered no labs no imaging. I ended up having a bad case of pneumonia she did not treat me for. I went to urgent care and it was diagnosed there. Then I had to see a PA who a couple of times treated me like I was a child. I saw a nurse practitioner once who I felt gave thorough care. However when I went to reschedule with the NP, not there anymore. I’m writing this before I change health plans because I think patients should know they’re never going see their primary care doctor At Kaiser. They place you with a doctor but then they make you “fish to find” a same-day provider.oh and you’ll never see the same one twice usually because they don’t stick around.

Absent from the clinic most, if not all of 2020. Total disregard for concerns I physically pointed at and she moved my hand to my hip, telling me I lost so much weight it was just my hip. Now I have a rare disease diagnosis that she could have helped me prevent or at least manage because she was dead wrong. Has her PA do all the communication and they never look at my total health. For example, being told to take Advil when I cannot because I'm a heart patient. Very bad experiences. Allowed a huge gap in lab testing that could have prevented a current problem. No coordination with other doctors on my health care team.

Responds to my needs, very available. Very professional. Highly recommend

Dr. De la Cruz has become hurried and ignores the complaints and concerns patients' have about their health. Dr. De la Cruz also has no understanding about chronic illness, particularly autoimmune disorders, instead of having a conversation with patients about scientific research and personal experiences around a condition she makes assumptions based on flawed science. Dr De la Cruz's over simplifications about autoimmune disorders could have done real harm if I didn't do my own research.

Great doctor actually cares about a person

I have been to doctors all over the world and De La Cruz is by far the most incompetent, inconsiderate, apathetic providers. Please avoid this doctor at all costs. She prescribes medicines without asking about possible allergies. She makes patients repeat themselves only to not listen to them. She asks if a note to an employer is required after the patient advises that they are on vacation.
