Have a referral. Got an appointment. Office called saying I needed an updated referral. I called back saying I had an updated referral. Lady said she didn’t know why they called that she sees where my referral is good and in date. So I figured all is good. I receive another call 2 days before my appointment saying my referral is not good again. I look on my app and it shows it is good! Now I have to call to get an authorization number to prove this. They should have an authorization number on my referral that I was told they had. I cannot complete the review on the doctor because I can’t get an appointment. Ridiculous!

Useless.
Sent two referrals, no calls. No follow up, nothing. A complete waste of my time.

1. Everyone gets a sleep study in terrible conditions and awful beds. 2. Everyone gets a CPAP even if the test is incomplete and inconclusive 3. Everyone has to deal with Alex the nurse practitioner who won’t accept that the CPAP is not helpful and wants to blame everything else 4. Alex thinks the solution is medication and another torturous in-lab sleep study is the answer 5. Too cheap to provide good beds and facilities (including air conditioning) 6. After the first consultation you never see the doctor 7. Whatever happened to “first do no harm” 8. Unnecessary office visits to read CPAP data which is available online 9. If you don’t tell them what they want to hear (everything is wonderful) then you’re non-compliant

Dr. Barot did an awesome job with my sleep apnea, finding exactly the right pressures and using BIPAP instead of CPAP. I no longer have the headaches I had before treatment. He also knew how to complete the insurance forms so that we could do the overnight testing at the facility rather than at home, which I don't trust. Highly recommend! He is thorough in explaining things as well. I'm glad I found him. I also sent my mother and sister to see him who also benefitted.

Horrible experience from the start. Very poor communication . Was sent to wrong facility for a sleep study causing me to have to race to suffolk in middle of night. Charged 350.00 for an at home sleep study with no personal instruction. Charged 250.00 for a missed appointment that i called to confirm and was told i did not have. DO NOT GO HERE HORRIBLE EXPERIENCE UNWILLING TO NEGOTIATE BILLING OR OWN UP TO ANY MISTAKES!!!!

I had a Sleep Dr before I moved to Tidewater. I have been a patient with this practice for many years. YES there is a lot of paperwork but it is needed to make the best diagnosis. I have narcolepsy, with atypical symptoms and need a CPAP machine. They have trying different medication to get better results, listened to me and what I feel worked best then adjusting my medications. I HIGHLY RECOMMEND THESE DOCTORS!

I discourage patients from attempting to secure this practice (office staff, incompetent ) as a reliable/professional means of treatment. spoke with a staff member secured an appointment, explained my recent malady, severe headaches, and pressure in my head. I advised them of my brain tumor, my sibling with the same pituitary adenoma, recently had his surgically removed due to size/pressure. completed a 15 page new patient form, was told Barot can't see me, rescheduled twice I complained BARRED

I would totally recommend Dr. Aj and Dr. Na to family and friends. They are both such great doctors. They listen to everything I had to tell him and to help me with any problem I was having. The staff is great too. They are always friendly and try to help you out when you have questions about stuff and if the staff does not know the answer they will go out of their way to find out for you.

This doctor has a poor bedside manner. He doesn't listen to the patient's input. He tells you what he will do, then he's through with you.

I found the doctor willing to answer my questions. I had been with another medical practice using my CPAP machine and was not pleased with my treatment plan so my primary care doctor suggested seeing someone else for a second opinion. Gained helpful new information from the sleep study and a treatment plan that seems more appropriate.

Excellent doctor! Dr. Barot is by far the best doctor I have seen in a long time. The staff was nice & courteous & I had a short wait time to be seen. Dr. Barot was very helpful. He answered all my questions. I was amazed that he took the time to listen to my concerns. Most doctors are quick to move you in & out to get to the next patient. This was not the case. He explained to me my diagnosis & the need for further testing to resolve my problem. I feel better & I highly recommend Dr. Barot!

He doesn't talk to his patients. He doesn't take a history or ask what the problems is, he just sends you for a sleep study. When results come back, be barely explains them to you and just tells you to go to another one for CPAP. I had to ask staff for a copy of test results, they only gave me the summary (which did help). I had to spend hours on the internet finding out what results meant and what was going on with me.
