Negative Experience
My husband, who was a medical student at the time, recommended this pediatrician because he previously worked with her. After having our son we had our first visit and the treatment was off-putting. So much so that, after the appointment, she called and apologized that she did not realize the connection with my husband, but really it was to apologize for her treatment of me during the visit. I am a black woman and the treatment was dismissive and judgmental. There were comments that were made that caused pause. I just did not understand the disconnect between my husband's experience of her and mine as a new mother.

My daughter was given 2 unnecessary vaccinations as the doctor said she saw no record of her having received them. I kept saying that didn't make sense to me and I was sure she had. She said it was her best advice to give them to her. I reluctantly agreed while making a couple of phone calls to see if I could find the records somewhere. While still there I learned that she had previously received these. The doctor shrugged and said "It won't hurt her." Ended up costing us $250 extra as a result.
