New patient first impressions
Dr. Fowler is one of the most attentive, thorough and genuinely caring providers I’ve had the pleasure of meeting. I had perhaps 5 minutes of wait time in the lobby before I was called back for my vital check.. Dr Fowler quickly followed. She was very engaging, listened and empathetic. She asked, “Is there anything else?” Several times, and never made me feel rushed. Labs were completed, results shared on the patient portal the next day, and referral specialists appointments have been scheduled to address concerns and get a better understanding of how best to proceed in my wellness journey. I’ve been looking for a new general practitioner to establish care. If you are also seeking to establish a new patient status, I urge you to take a strong look at Dr Amy Fowler..

If I could give ZERO, I would. My 31yo wife w/no medical issues and no history of seizures had a grand mal seizure. After an overnight stay, "Dr." Fowler was her attending physician. We never saw her. She never came in to tell us the diagnosis/aftercare. We were told our discharge order had been "lost" for hours. The RN that discharged us said that Fowler advised to schedule an appt two weeks out. I asked could we go ahead and do that, or speak with Dr. Fowler briefly, and was told it was too late on a Friday. So the short version is that Dr. Fowler chose to leave early on a holiday weekend, not see my wife who'd had an unexplained seizure, and couldn't even be bothered to have our follow up appt scheduled beforehand. We WILL get what I can't even call a second opinion, as we didn't receive the first. If Dr. Fowler is listed as your physician, get up and go to Pikeville or London.

Dr. Fowler has the best bedside manner by far. She really cares about each individual patient as well as their families. She takes the time to really listen to her patients. She is highly educated and makes the best decisions for her patients. She is someone you can really talk to and takes the time to explain whats going on down on our level. God put her in our path when my grandmother took ill.
