Dr. Amy Nicholas, MD

I was able to get in for a checkup the day after my retina ophthalmologist referred me to the practice. Dr. Nicholas carefully examined my eyes and gave a thorough explanation of what she found and recommended going forward. I felt completely comfortable with her professionalism and competence.

Dr. Nicolas is very thorough, kind and understanding. She removed cataracts from both of my eyes and she and Dr. Chen have provided follow up visits to ensure me that my eyes are doing well.

When I moved back to Maryland, my eye care came from a well-known and well-respected provider. In less than 3 years of bi-annual vists I saw 5 of their doctors. Then I found Dr. Nicholas. She is very interested not only in my condition but also being my doctor by asking probing questions. Her treatments are informed and based on the understanding she and arrive at. I feel confident because Dr Amy Nicholas is my doctor.

Dr. Nichols is great. I had flashes and floaters in my eyes and called her office. They got me in the very next morning and Dr Nichols and staff spent about two hours with me. She diagnosed me and referred me to get laser retinopexy asap. Her office found a nearby provider, scheduled the appointment for that very day right after lunch. All in on e day I was diagnosed and treated which could have helped prevent retinal detachment. I highly recommend Dr. Nichols. I do not where else I would have gotten such good treatment.

Dr Nicholas is great. She is friendly & explains everything & made me feel comfortable. Staff is great too.

Best experience I have ever had in the office of an ophthalmologist (That I can remember at least.) Recent experiences elsewhere have not been that great. The office staff here were great too.

Dr. Nicolas recently performed cataract surgery on my left eye, and I am extremely pleased with my experience with her. She is professional, friendly, knowledgeable and direct. My surgery went perfectly, without incident. I could not have asked for a better experience or doctor. Dr. Nicholas answered all of my questions and gave me great confidence going into the procedure. I also really appreciated her checking in on me the same day after surgery. That is the true sign of a doctor that cares. Dr. Nicholas performed my sister's cataract surgery. My sister had nothing but high praise for Dr. Nicholas, and I feel exactly the same. When it comes time to have my other eye done, I will absolutely have Dr. Nicholas do it. I highly recommend her.

As always, excellent, though and she explains everything and makes sure to address and questions and concerns that I might have. Just a wonderful physician!
