Dr. Amy Schuerman-Gen has been my nephrologist for almost 14 years--7+ years as we waited for a kidney and almost 7 years after the transplant. She was my advocate as we waited for my name to move up the list. She is knowledgeable, creative, caring, compassionate and wise. I would highly recommend Dr. Amy Schuerman-Gen if you are looking for a nephrologist.

I have been a patient of Dr. Schuerman-Gen for about ten years. Throughout my association with Dr. Schuerman-Gen she showed a high degree of interest in my total health situation. While she is firm in her directives on how to deal with any negative indications from the laboratory results and/or from her examination, she always gave words of encouragement for positive efforts. I am fortunate to have Dr. Schuerman-Gen as my nephrologist.

On Friday 07-20-18 I had a follow up appointment with Dr. Gen the medical assistant called me in took my weight and my vital signs, asked for me to wait for Dr. Gen there, then Dr. Gen knocks and states follow me to room 1. I follow her to the room I sit down. Dr Gen didn't not go over my labs with me. I asked her a question and her response was I DON'T CARE. This made me feel very UNDIGNIFIED and utmost beyond RUDE. I wouldn't suggest anybody to come see Dr. Gen after this experience!!!
