Not a happy camper
After about 16 yr I had a problem with a PA. I had 2 cancer spots on my neck. She only biopic 1 then made me come back for second biopsy & removal instead of doing them at the same time. Then lied to me about not seeing the 2nd spot. Tried to talk to Dr Amy & was told , she doesn’t TALK to people. I then wrote her 2 letters which she refused to answer. She would NOT discuss the problem or even acknowledge me

It was my first visit and I was here to establish with a new doctor after having here from out of state. I found Dr. Watson to be perfunctory, not in the least friendly and unable or unwilling to converse with me in a friendly manner at all. She refused to bill my insurance for removal of Keratosis which I have been having routinely done for years. She called it cosmetic. My insurance has always covered it as these are considered pre-cancerous. Further, I had to insist on the removal of several as seemed seemed put out at doing so even when I said I'd pay out of pocket. I asked to continue with my twice yearly checks as I am fair-skinned, red-headed, and prone to skin growths. My previous dermatologists have ALL, throughout my life, recommended I be on a 6 month schedule. She said I was "good for a year" and if I wanted to be seen in 6 months I could only see her PA. No thank you. This was said in a curt, abrupt, and unhelpful manner. I don't want to see a PA, ever. I don't personally like "mid-levels" doing my medical treatment, and I don't trust them. They are not doctors. I also found the tech who saw me first to be uniformed, not very bright seeming, and she came in chawing away on gum which was grossly unprofessional and juvenile. It's nasty. She grilled me about what I was there for (a skin check! and keratosis removal!) and when I couldn't remember the medical terms "keratosis" she said, "do you mean skin tags?" No. I'm in a doctor's office, and we're not going to be using slang terms of no particular meaning to describe skin growths. Seriously? "Skin tags?" The young lady instilled no confidence in me, was annoying and unprofessional, and set a poor tone. Overall I'm rather shocked. I'm not used to such unfriendly, unprofessional, and unhelpful behavior. Dr. Watson does not seem happy in her chosen field, or perhaps she has some kind of disorder and is unable to display social skills with patients. I see a lot of reviews with similar complaints, so it's not me and not a bad day. After freezing off a few keratoses I was not even given any ointment to apply to the freeze burns there in the office. Unbelievable. I won't be back, thanks very much.

Disappointed to say the least
I had a very unpleasant experience with Dr Watson on Thursday last week. I went for a full body skin scan that I had scheduled a month ago, and she literally spend 2 min in the room with me .. looked at the UPPER part of my back and HALF of my arms on the side next to where she was standing. Said 3 sentences to me, didn’t ask me ONE question and left the room. Almost felt like a I was seen by a ROBOT not a real life doctor. I spent more time filling out the papers so her staff can bill my insurance properly and kept saying that to me over and over with smirky smile on their faces. Every business is open to make money but that was a bit tacky. Not to mention I paid $135 out of pocket for those 2 minutes! I thought she comes from the good old times when doctors cared about the patients well being and health genuinely more than papers and forms, but I was so wrong and I would never go back or recommend her or her office to anyone that asks me. I honestly never had such a bad experien

Dr Watson and her Physician Assistant completely missed a basal cell under my bangs. When I went again and pointed it out it was a very large basal cell. I had to point out all of the cancers. The one I'm most upset about is under my eye. They said to see an ophthalmologist but never told me who and didn't urgent. Well it was urgent and after finding one on my own the lesion was cancerous. I have to have MOHS and extensive reconstruction surgery. I'm very upset.

I recently called up to get our annual screening as we do every year and verified with the practice and our new Insurance company before attending that it would be covered. Much to my surprise the visit was not covered as I was told it would be. I gave them a chance to respond, and they just did not care enough about me or my wife’s business. I do not feel they are acting in good faith in their billing practices.

First of all, the moment you enter the office the atmosphere is inviting. The staff is very attentive and pleasant. Dr. Watson did what no other dermatologist did for me... she listened to my concerns. As a result, a biopsy was performed and I was finally able to receive a diagnosis which could have been reached years ago if the other dermatologists had listened. I highly recommend Dr. Watson and her awesome staff.

Excellent visit. I saw Dr. Watson’s P.A. because I needed a rush appointment, and I was very pleased. She took her time and throughly checked some spots on my face and back that I was concerned about. She felt one spot should be biopsied just to be safe which made me feel good. The spot came back negative and I was contacted by the office immediately with the news. I was very impressed all the way around from the physician care to the professionalism and friendliness of the office staff. I highly recommend Dr. Watson’s practice.
