I have been going to the VA clinic in The Villages for almost two years. My primary doctor (Ana Alvarado-Santos) and her team have been outstanding. My doctors appointments and labs have always been on time. Everyone I have encountered at this facility has been very nice and respectful to me. I'm very pleased with everyone.

My brother passed away in November 2019 was her patient. It's a long story, but what she did was risk my brothers life and it cost him dearly. My brother was admitted to the ER at The Villages Hospital. He was advised to go to a Pulmonologist right away, he was also advised that he needed oxygen. He needed his VA Primary Care Physician (PCP) to prescribe them. We couldn't get an appointment with her or even a return call for more than a month. We found a pulmonologist outside the VA who evaluated and diagnosed my brother with Pulmonary Fibrosis. He called Dr. Alvarado-Santos multiple times and left messages about my brothers condition and why he needed to be seen immediately. We hand-carried my brother's scans to the VA clinic but her nurse said she wouldn't accept the scans. She was finally disciplined but showed no remorse-she did say "I saw him 6-months ago and he didn't need oxygen then!" She graduated Guardalajara Univ-LATAM ranks 201 over 250. Don't risk your life.

I have been treated by Dr. Ana Alvarado de Santos on several occasions, and I have found her to be a most outstanding health provider. She was thorough, very kind, extremely attentive, and everything I could ask in a primary physician. I highly recommend her.
