Dr. Kiess was a pivotal part of the team at Hopkins that successfully treated me for neck cancer. From the minute I heard the word cancer and went into survival mode, I knew it would be critical to have a trusted medical professional on the team to get me through the treatment. Dr. Kiess was that person for me. She has an incredible bedside presence that served as a much needed anchor throughout the 5 year journey to remission. She is a great communicator, very knowledgeable, listens well and most importantly - is highly empathetic. I don't believe I would have fared as well as I did had it not been for Dr. Kiess. This being said, I would highly recommend Dr. Kiess (and have already done so) to family and friends.

Dr. Kiess is an amazing caring professional radiologist. She is extremely knowledgeable and not only in her chosen field (check out her credentials). Her staff is very welcoming, pleasant and easy to work with. She truly loves her job and it shows in the care she give each patient. Her personality will immediately make you comfortable and secure knowing that you have the best radiologist at Johns Hopkins. Only 2 days shy of finishing a cancer treatment, while on the radiation table, I got blood clots in both lungs. Dr. Keiss came to see me in the ICU. After moving to step down care, she again came to see me. When I returned to her office for the next visit, I asked her if I had to finish those last 2 treatments. I asked "What would you do if this was your father?" She said you had enough radiation! The wonderful end of this story is that 5 years later, I am cancer free. I cannot say enough wonderful things about this doctor and her staff. See Dr. Keiss if you need radiation

I would recommend Dr. Kiess to all my family and friends. She is professional yet caring. Detailed, yet explains things in a way the average person would understand. She's the reason I am here today. She saved my life. My recommendation isn't just because she saved my life. But how she did it. She took a personal interest in my health, my well being, even how my wife was fairing as she traveled through this process with me. She explained all my options and the one we agreed together would be the one that assured my life after cancer would be lived to the fullest. She didn't just come in and say "we are going to do this". Through the process, we laughed together, cried together. But through it all she not only stood over me as my care taker, but beside me as my comforter. She surrounds herself with nurses, technicians and interns that shares her same values. All this wrapped together is why I would recommend Dr. Kiess and her staff to anyone.

Ana Kiess is not a honest person. Do not trust her. She will tell you things that are not true with radiation treatment. Stay away! I would give 0 stars if I could.

Now at Hopkins: She is very intelligent, compassionate, and takes her time to explain everything. She was part of a 5 doctor team but she was our go to person, along with her wonderful staff. She was prompt at returning calls, and offered logical common sense advice, and was always watching out for my best interest. She is absolutely one of the best doctors who treated me. ever. A++
