Stay Away!

I had multiple visits with him, and I feel like my health was worse after seeing him. He was hard to talk to, came across as uncaring, arrogant, and I lost trust in him quickly. I was on an expensive medication that I had a way to pay for future needs, but he did not come through with his part so I have been paying for it long term. I tried scheduling with a different cardiologist at Heart Hospital, but they wouldn’t let me see a different doctor. Finally, I had to find a Doctor not associated with the Heart Hospital to finally get a way from him.

He was amazing at his job and remained very professional and dedicated to doing his best work. I was a difficult person to work with because I’m a big baby lol but he was absolutely amazing.

I’m surprised to see bad reviews on Dr. Paixao I personally had nothing but great interactions with him. He put a stent in my right leg artery and a procedure that takes 2 hours he finished in 45 minutes. He took the time to check my left leg artery while I was in there. Yes he is a little quiet but answered every question I had. My procedure was done at the Heart Hospital in Little Rock. From my Nurse’s to my Doctor I had nothing but an excellent experience. I am very grateful to them all. I experienced some knee pain 2 day later and went to CHI ER in Hot Springs. Dr Paixao was notified and called the ER doctor while I was there to help diagnose the problem. What doctor drops what they are doing to help a patient in a totally different hospital? I have trust issues when it comes to doctors but I would do anything Dr. Paixao suggested.

Dr Paixao was assigned as my doctor after my doctor retired this year. When he entered the room he didn't speak to me. He introduced himself but he didnt ask me anything about myself. He spent all of 5 to 8 minutes in the room, suggested a couple of test then opened the door to go to the receptionist desk to schedule those tests. He dint explain the test or asked me if I had any questions or concerns I needed to address with him or anything. He stood at the desk for 30 seconds then just walked away. No goodbye, or have a good day nothing! I was not impressed with him so I will be selecting another doctor.

Arrogant … did not want to answer my questions … he said he to to college for many years when I questioned him and then failed to answer my questions … in hurry, spent very little time with me … I am a reasonable, level-headed adult male with multiple college degrees. In short, he is the most pathetic doctor I have ever encountered. Needs significant improvement in patient-doctor interface.

My first appointment wasn’t great. But Dr. Paixao was willing to check further than my first cardiologist for causes of my problem. Dr. Paixao performed two procedures and each time he did an excellent job. He was very friendly and kind before and after the procedures. He is not talkative man but he answered every question my husband and I asked in a very clear and concise manner. I was not sore in my chest or my wrist after Dr. Paixao put in a stent. I highly recommend him to anyone with heart issues.

Dr Paixao was angry when I asked questions, angry when I asked him to use sanitizer before touching me, angry I didn’t know the clinic’s protocols, though it was the first time going there; he didn’t give me my test results, and didn’t have my records from my old doctor and said he didn’t need them. He repeatedly said, “ok, now we have a plan” with out explaining what the plan was at all. I would never recommend anyone go to him.

Dr Paixao was my husbands Doc after he coded. We were in the hosp for over 30 days and I spoke to him every day. He is an excellent physicians. He answered every question and was honest. Thank you for saving my husbands life...

He is very Professional and knowledgeable about cardiology. He is aware of my medications and how they affect me.

He is absolutely amazing!! He answered every question that we had. He did my husband’s work and I will definitely use him as if the need arises

He just does not answer and questions or concerns you have as a patient!! Found the heart problem, but just does not explain anything. Really liked him, but very disappointed with him :(

Brilliant man who can relate to a person with no medical knowledge. Did a heart cath and stent on my husband. We have seen him a total of 4 times and he was never late, always early. A quiet person, but will take time to answer all of your questions. Very polite. Highly recommend him.

He's a very kind Dr who answers all your questions. I feel cared for by him and his staff and highly recommend him. I met him after going to the ER at the Heart Hisoutal. After tests he called in a surgeon to replace a mitral valve in March 2018 and I am doing great six months after surgery.

I had 4 bypasses in 2009 and within the last year have seen Dr. Paixao several time for various problems. I highly recommend him.His staff is also very helpful.

He was rude and demeaning. He took a ridiculous amount of time to read my tests, made the wrong referrals which made my process take longer, laughed at me when I explained my symptoms, and tried to diagnose me before I even finished talking. The heart monitor he prescribed to me did not work right and I still had to pay the full amount for half the wear time. Total nightmare.
