Listens carefully
I’ve had Dr. Schneebaum as my arthritis doctor for 10+ years. She has been thorough in investigating and treating flareups and explaining options. She listens carefully and respects my decisions to “wait and see” on several occasions. I feel confident and trust in her and her care. The office staff has always been pleasant and professional.

I have been Seeing Dr Schneebaum for 30 years. She always listens to what I have to say and offers a variety of treatments as applicable. She knows of new treatments well before you hear about them. I have found her to always be kind, considerate and compassionate. You can’t judge a Doctor by the support staff.

If I could choose zero stars, I would. Exactly as others have described. However, I think the lack of empathy & ability to utilize active listening, really revolves around a lack of competence in her field. If you want a battery of blood tests that any doctor can order, she’s for you. If you are looking for a rheumatological specialist who can think outside the obvious box...don’t waste your time. She’s truly an “old school “ doctor who completely dismisses symptoms if you don’t fit the typical blood test mold. And as a bonus, she attempts to humiliate & belittle you. It was very clear to me that her #1 priority was documentation and ensuring the patient & staff know she covered all her bases. If you want an actual specialist, who does more than check the boxes, Andrea Schneebaum is not the doctor for you.

I would never recommend this Dr. or her nurse practitioner. I was in extreme pain, swollen hands and wrists. Couldn't get an appt. with her. Saw her nurse who I found to be very condescending and rude. No compassion. She had blood work ordered, and sent me home with steroids. No one called me back with results. When I called, receptionist told me I had high inflammation and made an appt. to see the doctor in three months! I ended up making an appt. in Exeter with Dr. Kunz who is excellent.

I have never been so humiliated in my life. I felt I was being lectured and not cared for. She did not listen at all and instead sent me away in pain with a bunch of literature on drug treatments. I was horrified at her lack of understanding and inconsideration. She left the room and never said goodbye, only to send a tech in to throw some papers at me. This doctor, her nurse and the med tech people I would never want friend or loved one to see.

After 2 years, finally got my Dx correct. However, treated me with Vitamin D (blood testing ad nauseam) when I needed surgery urgently. Ignored my complaints that symptoms were quickly worsening. Had surgery (not with surgeon recommended by her). Will be physically impaired for life. Caveat Emptor! However, have to say that her administrator Barbara, is nothing short of FANTASTIC! She is probably the glue that holds the practice together.

Poor people skills. Very condescending. Dismisses multiple previous doctors diagnoses and is starting fresh which means repeating a whole battery of tests and reducing medication that has helped reduce pain - meaning more pain for patient. Ignoring and interrupting patient when questions or comments were made. During the first visit, Barbara (Dr. Schneebaum's nurse) was very pleasant and took the time to explain some things that were unclear. Barbara at the front desk was also very nice.
