Not Recommended
Does not have the karma or personality for a medical doctor. If you are overweight, as I am, you will feel denigrated by his comments. Will diminish the importance of your illness by first sending you to lose weight under strict circumstances. Walked out of his office feeling that I needed to first be fit and in good health for him to treat my condition.

I had surgery on C2 3 and C7 T 1. It took 2 years because of Covid but mainly because I could not find a Dr. willing to take on my case because I had surgeries already in my neck. I even went to Shands hospital in Gainesville. They treated me rudely and told me I had nothing wrong and I only was looking to have surgeries. I was desperate and very upset. Dr. Tomac was referred to me by Dr. Chamley a Neurologist. His office saw me in a few days. I drove 4 hours, and it changed my life. Martha his assistant, and Dr. Tomac listened to me and believed me when I explained my symptoms. They had me get new tests like a MRI , etc. Dr. Tomac knew how complicated my damage was and told us he would operate because he knew I needed him to help me. I am 85% better and it has only been 3 weeks since my surgery. Dr. Tomac saved my life from debilitating pain. I am starting to live a great life now. Thank you Martha , Dr. Tomac and the staff at Holy Cross Hospital.

I met with Dr. Tomac after being referred for surgery for a herniated disc in my C Spine. I had ACDF on April 30th, 2021. I was up and walking within a few hours. The evening of the surgery I only thing is felt was mild pain on swallowing which was expected but no pain at surgical site. My recovery went well , did PT after a couple weeks. I Returned to work after 12 weeks of FMLA because of the nature of my job..But if I had a office job I could have gone back 6 weeks sooner. Overall I am very satisfied with the services I received from Dr. Tomac and his team. If you need to have any neuro surgery I would definitely recommend him.

Simply put, Doctor Tomac is incredible. It is rare to find someone who is both truly knowledgeable and genuinely caring. He will immediately put you at ease and you will feel confident placing your trust in him. Everything from his treatment, friendliness, professionalism, and expert medical knowledge is outstanding. He is, without a doubt, the best surgeon out there. I would give 10 stars if I could!

Dr Tomac saved my husband's life. Troy Phipps was injured on the job as law enforcement and crushed his spine we had MRI of c-spine and L-spine and went to see him we knew the L-spine was going to be bad, but he showed us the film of C-spine and that he was a hairs width away from his spinal cord being severed rendering him parayliz from the neck down, a week later and 4hours in surgery c-3thru c-7 disc and vertebra removed, titanium in place spinal cord secured, God bless you Dr T
