His attitude was horrible. I felt very disrespected. He acted as though I was an inconvenience and didn’t want to listen to anything I was saying. He acted as if he knew it all.

On Eastern U.S. Coast now. Do not trust his knowledge retained from formal education.

Visit was all about 15 minutes long. Probably the worst bedside manner I’ve ever seen in any provider. He basically told me all my issues were because I needed to be on a fod map diet and gave me a pamphlet for that.

Dr. Black is personable, skilled, capable, trustworthy, etc., and has the ability to explain the cause or causes of your discomfort, pain or disorder. Although my most recent appointment was virtual, I felt completely at ease and believe all my questions were answered regarding a recent procedure and hospitalization.

Dr. Black is very thorough and listens to what you tell him. His willingness to run additional tests found diseases that otherwise would have gone undetected for who knows how long in both me and my husband. Because they were found early, theses problems were treated before they became deadly. We appreciate Dr. Black!

I saw Dr Black for 2 ER visits in April and a follow up and was very impressed with him. I had our records transferred from our Lawton GI, but then received letter announcing joining Norman Regional. So sorry. We are removing ourselves from all NR groups. We do not like Norman Regional and are asking that all referrals be made to non-NR physicians. Too bad. We really liked him.

Have had GI issues for years, many scopes done with no definitive diagnosis. I went to see Dr. Black at the recommendation of a healthcare colleague and for the first time in 20 years actually feel like my medical issues are adequately addressed. Dr. Black and his staff take the time to listen and has never rushed me.

My mother went to Dr. Black in October 2016 due to excessive pain on her lower left side. Dr. Black was very short and non-informative and seemed as if he could care less. He told my mother that there was nothing that he could do and made it clear that he had a surgery to get to within the hour. However, his assistant (Clint Howell) was pleasant and had much better bedside manner than Dr. Black. My mother will certainly not be returning to Dr. Black's office.

Dr. Black has a horrible bed side manner. I have had a hemorrhoid problem for months, and I tried to explain all the problems I've had. I barely said two sentences before he just interrupted me and told me to try a cream. I've had the problem for MONTHS, I've tried a lot of creams, but he didn't want to hear anything I had to say. He just pushed the cream. A month later, the cream hasn't done anything, I'm still having problems, and Dr. Black either says "use the cream" or doesn't respond.
