Listened to my needs
As a woman, it is rare to find a doctor who honestly listens to your needs. He not only listened but was capable to deal with my complicated case with ease. It was a relief and honor to have him as my urologist! I highly recommend him!!

He was very helpful and nice. He made me feel very comfortable, relaxed and reassured. Not sure why he has less than 5 stars but my experience was exceptional.

I’ve never met a more rude doctor than Mr. Giem. He appeared to have no concern about the history of my son’s ongoing problems that Kaiser has misdiagnosed for the last decade and seemed more interested in expressing to me how tired he was after having worked 24 hours and being 1 of 5 doctors with 300K patients to deal with. He was rude and I question his ability to care for those patients under his charge because you can’t Properly care for someone that you don’t care about. Dr. Giem seems to have forgotten that it is folks like us who pay his salary through inflated medical bills. I am embarrassed for Kaiser for their lack of professionalism in general and Dr. Giem in particular. I have no doubt that Dr. Giem, on a good day, is a decent doctor but we are often judged by how we behave under pressure and this doctor could not have been more disappointing especially when dealing with such a serious medical situation.

I recently saw Dr. Giem for the first time and I was very happy with the experience. His nurse was patient and understanding. Dr. Giem was very pleasant, listened well, asked an appropriate number of questions and tried to fully address my concern/problem. If I need an urology appointment in the future I will request Dr. Giem.
