Great Doctor. Always spends plenty of time with me and answers my questions. I was referred to him by my Urologist for renal cell carcinoma. I had lost one kidney and part of the other. Doctor Greenspan, after reviewing my case, recommended immuno-therapy. My tumors have not advanced and are not growing. I believe to be alive today because of Dr. Greenspan. He has always been there anytime that I have needed him. He also has an excellent nursing staff assisting him in the IU Methodist Oncology suite. I would recommend him to anyone.

Extremely Knowledgeable, answers questions and explains treatment plan in detail. He answers emails and will address questions and concerns. Dr. Greenspan is a very professional and compassionate person. He has been treating my husband since October and we always have a positive outlook after our appointments.

During our first meeting I told him that no one had been able to diagnose a cause for my anemia. He told me that in his entire career, there had only been one time he could not pinpoint a cause for anemia. Although I could never get him to admit it, I was number 2. He then prescribed Prednisone without mentioning the very common weight gain. Am on 2 Opiods for back pain and gained 25 lbs which did not help. When I told him I was quitting it, he refused to provide a script to slowly decrease it.

Dr. Greenspan saved my life. I was stage 4 and very near death. No one expected me to survive but he worked tirelessly, and didn't give up until I was well again. I would not be here today without him and my cardiologist. Dr. Greenspan is my hero.

I would not recommend putting your care in his hands. He seemed arrogant and detached. I only had two treatments, under his supervision, and immediately after the second I had three blood clots, and pneumonia. I was hospitalized, under another doctors care, for ten days to treat a clot in my arm, in my lung and in my heart. I feel fortunate I survived my ordeal.

Dr. Greenspan at one time may have been a good oncologist, but not anymore. He is never prepared for the appointment & oftentimes changes his "plan" for your treatment once he enters the room & enters data into the computer. Also, his interpersonal skills are lacking as he doesn't know how to communicate with patients or their families. Lastly, he schedules appointments for conversations where the info could have been shared by phone. There are other oncologists with IU Health; use them instead.

Once my insurance didn't cover his services he dropped me like a hot potato. I was a patient for 12 years. The message was clear from his office - we don't take your insurance and won't discount the fees. I never asked to have discounted fees.
