Horrible experience
Dr Hartigan removed my venous catheter. I say “removed” but what I really mean is he ripped it out, hastily patched me up and sent me on my way. I’ve had four other catheters inserted and removed in the past by other surgeons without even a hint of a problem. This removal has been nothing but trouble. Surgical glue was just glopped on the incision, dissolvable stitches sticking out in three places (from a 1” wound!)… I’m still sore, red and irritated three months after seeing this hack. Avoid at all costs.

Very rushed, rough, and barely explained procedure. Would not recommend him to care for my pet snake, if I had one.

Two years ago, I planned on weight loss surgery when they found a rare, life threatening complication with my heart. He saved my life after 2 cardiologists said surgery was too risky. He relined my aorta from my heart to my diaphragm, decreasing it from the width of a Coke can to a garden hose. Explained the procedure in technical and layman's terms, checked on me regularly and was a calming force in ICU and follow up. Even did an early eve appt when I had exhausted sick hours at work.
