Great
I've been his patient for 20 years. He has always been kind, and caring. I would and have recommended Dr. Hecht to many, many people. I wouldn't go to anyone else.

Top of the Line!!
I had spinal microsurgery on April 11, 2024 and it was so smooth and easy. This gentleman is so highly regarded and respected in his field. I was treated by the best and pain free immediately. It’s still hard to believe after all my anxiety that everything ran on a dime!I’m extremely grateful for Dr. Hecht I highly recommend him as the “Top of the Line!”

Dr Hecht performed a spinal revision by correcting broken hardware. He has a wonderful bedside manner and we give him the highest respect. he’s not just a regular orthopedic dr he’s way more than that. i’m grateful to have him on my case searching for where my chronic pain is coming from. Thank you Dr Hecht!!

Truly Awesome Doctor
Dr Hecht performed a complex back surgery on me . His skills are nothing short of amazing. He is caring and explains what he will be doing in a way that is easy to understand. My surgery went smoothly, care by his team in the hospital was great. I can’t say enough good things about him. Hopefully I don’t need additional surgeries but if I did i would only go to him.

My entire experience with Dr. Hecht and his medical colleagues and team has been fantastic. I am now close to 9 weeks post microdiscectomy surgery and so far so good. Surgery went smoothly and all post-surgery check-ins have been good. The team has been great at answering my questions in a timely manner and always friendly. First class team and experience.

Lumbar spinal fusion October 2018. I was walking a mile within two weeks. Playing golf within 8 months and many times since. Complete relief of crippling leg pain within 72 hours of surgery. Fantastic surgical team exceeded all expectations.

I have had a back issue for many years. Dr Hecht did a spinal fusion (L4-L5). It was a complete success, I referred 2 patients to him for the same procedure and they were both very happy with the results.

I have very bad scoliosis and slight kyphosis so I sought out Dr. Hect from hearing people recommend him. I couldn't be more upset and befuddled with the treatment I got from not only him but his office. I got 2 MRIs done, 1 on my neck and 1 on my spine to ensure that there was nothing detrimental to my health. After my MRIs I was spoken to for 1 minute by Dr. Hect telling me that I will hear back from him with the results within the week and then he walked out of the room. Never heard from him.

He will spend 5 seconds with you in the room not explaining a single thing even not showing you your MRI! And for the 5 seconds he will charge you $382. You won't know if he is out of your network or not because his office will ask you about all of your insurance information and won't bother to tell you he is not working with your insurance

Dr Hexht is amazing. He fixed my neck three months ago.Two other surgeons wanted to do big fusion but he did something called a laminaplasty that saves my motion.. All of my pain and tingling went away. I played tennis this weekend for first time in years. He is also a very warm person and takes time to explain everything.. Two of my friends also used him for a lumbar problem as well.

My experience has been totally positive.I had a laminectomy with fusion in June 2016 to correct a condition that made it painful to walk short distances or to stand for more than a few minutes. After the surgery, which was less extensive than recommended by another surgeon,my recovery was rapid.I recently walked a total of about nine miles in a day.Dr. Hecht has always been friendly and accessible, answering questions, and even replying quickly to emails. His staff has also been extremely helpful.

Although Dr. Hecht is a likeable and easilly accessible Dr, I feel the surgery he performed on me in 2013 ruined my life. I had a posterior laminectony with fusion/intrumentation and an anterior discectony with fusion/instrumentation. Prior to the surgery, my pain and mobility was decent. Dr. Hecht stressed this surgery was necessary for long term protection of my spine. Had I known how this waa going to play out, I would have taken the risk for later life issues.Surgery ahould be a last resort!

Dr Hecht is a good surgeon who helped me get the feeling back in my hands and arms. However, I too, have been thrown to the side. The follow-up is awful. I had very little pain before the procedure because it was primarily numbness and tingling. Now I have feeling but I'm in pain. And they just don't care!! Also, the doctor never came to see me after the procedure. They sent me home 1-1/2 days after surgery and he never checked on me once. Now they don't return calls or call in prescriptions.
