Dr. Andrew Kessler, MD

I’ve been seeing Kessler since 2019 for narrow angle glaucoma that was diagnosed but untreated by Penn Eye Care. Kessler sent me Dr Schwartz at GBMC for an iridotomy. My vision was still blurry but I figured it was permanent damage from the glaucoma. Over the next 2yrs blurred vision got even worse with halos and double vision. I went to Levin Eye Care for a new prescription but Optometrist said nothing could be done until scare tissue was removed. SCAR TISSUE!? Ive had no eye injury other than scarring around the pupils from contacts. Kessler already saw that. I went back to Kessler who referred me to Dr. Williamson at Select Eye Care in Towson. I was diagnosed with Map Dot Fingerprint Dystrophy and a painful Superficial Keratectomy was performed same day. Finally, 3yrs later and I can see again. I’m still severely myopic with lazy left eye but seeing with glasses and playing video games again. The moral: keep pestering Dr Kessler. He know some awesome specialists.

I have been a patient of Dr. Kessler's for 20+ years. I have always considered him to be an outstanding physician, but the two cataract surgeries he performed on me in the last two weeks have elevated him to the top tier of doctors who have ever treated me for anything in my 72 years. I have already recommended him to a friend and will continue to do so to anyone who will listen to me.

I have completed two cataract surgeries with Dr. Kessler. The results are beyond my expectations. No more glasses for me after more than 50 years! The cataracts were monitored for several years until I noticed the symptoms during my daily routine. The procedure was thoroughly explained, scheduled and monitored until both eyes were completed with a new lens and my vision is incredible now. Dr. Kessler is skilled, compassionate, a good communicator, and always willing to answer questions no matter how silly they may sound. I would not hesitate to recommend him to anyone who suspects they may need cataract surgery in the future.

I was completely happy with Dr Kessler and his staff, especially at the surgery center. That was the kindest, most considerate bunch of nurses ever. My cataract surgery went well.

Dr. Kess!er is an excellent doctor. He corrected my cataracts and I can see with 20\20 vision. His office staff is personable and professional. I highly recommend this practice to anyone.

I have been very satisfied with Dr. Kessler during the 4 years I have been a patient. He recently performed cataract surgery on both eyes. The results are more than I hoped for. I no longer need glasses for distance, for the first time in 55 years. He is very professional and talented.

I had cataract surgery done last week by Dr. Kessler. It was a wonderful experience! I have had many medical procedures & surgeries over the years, by several doctors, none were as accommodating as Dr. Kessler & the entire staff at the Carroll County Surgery Center. Everyone at the surgery center went out of their way to make the experience very pleasurable, warm blankets & all. I have small veins & there is always a problem giving me an I. V., but not this time! Dr Kessler is an excellent surgeon. Not only is he knowledgeable but kind, informative, & pleasant. He puts you at ease., answers all your questions & explains everything. I had no pain or discomfort during surgery or after. Next week I have surgery on my other eye. I am looking forward to the procedure. I have not seen this well since I was a child & look forward to having 2 good eyes! Helen Straskulic

I recently had cataract surgery. Dr. Kessler's instructions and follow up visits after surgery were very clear and I was very satisfied. The staff at the surgery center were nothing short of wonderful. They were very attentive and made sure that I was comfortable from the moment I arrived to the moment I left and get into my car. Most organized office I have ever been in. They provided written instructions that covered almost any questions you may have had about the procedure and post op instructions. Staff was friendly and knowledgeable!
