RUN don't walk from this man
Office had me wait 2 HOURS past appt. time to see me. That alone is totally unacceptable. When I did finally did see Dr, he asked how I was with new med he had prescribed - alarming bc he had not prescribed any medication - he seemed confused, but reiterated that I needed it. He then corrected himself and said the tests were all normal for a person of my age, but he wanted to prescribe it for a list of symptoms that I didn't ever have! He then asked why I had test 'A' when what I needed was test 'B'? I reminded him that he had ordered test 'A' - his behavior alarmed me! I'm certain he had not reviewed test results. He then ordered test 'B' and mumbled something about possible stroke!?? At checkout, I asked if my test results were sent to my PCP; nurse said their policy was not to release them. By this time I was alarmed AND angry and I DEMANDED that my PCP get results. Please, RUN, DON'T WALK to another neurologist and shame on Mt. Sinai for having him affiliated.

Terrible service
I wait for 1:30min on the office to see the doctor that never showed up. Lack of respect and consideration with the paciente. The staff let me waiting in a room for all this time without any explanation. The doctor went out and they let me waiting until I get tired of waiting and went out to ask how long would take to the doctor see me. I was there waitng for 1:30mim! I’m 82 years old. I’m really upset with the disrespectful treatment I had on his office. Appointment date 08/04/23 12pm

The rudest doctor that exists!
I went to see him a few times. I suffer from migraines and just needed my prescription. I was breastfeeding at the time and he was shaming me about doing so to my 1 year old son! Nasty and arogant,he told me that at 1 year old is crazy to continue to breastfeed! This should be discussed with a pediatrician not a neurologist! I left crying and definitely not going to be back there!

Stay away
We were referred to Dr. Kovacs from another doctor. We showed up to our appointment early to find a completely full waiting room. We we’re told that had were running “about an hour” behind. We waited almost two hours before leaving without being seen. The office is poorly run and the front staff was completely unprofessional.

Dr. Kovacs is an Excellent professional neurologist. He was really precise in his diagnosis and he didn't leave any details unchecked. He is a very caring, responsible and knowledgable. One aspect that I really liked about him which surprised me (because is rare nowadays in the medical field), is how generous he is with his time. He knows how to listen And he did not leave any questions unanswered. For him, the patient comes first and he would take the time that is needed to find a solution to the problem. It wouldn’t be right not to mention the young lady Marcella at the front desk she deserves the five stars as well. She is a real sweetheart

O went to visit Dr Kovac for an EMG. He refused to give me that test unless I got another very painful test, getting my consent fraudulently by stating that the second test was a necessary adjunct to the EMG. He also insisted that I would need a sonogram. When I asked him why, if I needed all three tests my surgeon only ordered the EMG he said that "she is very new and does not know how we do things". When he learned that I had epilepsy, he literally drooled and actually started to give me an EEG without my consent, without even telling me. When I asked exactly what he was thinking he lied, saying "state law requires epileptics [including ones controlled on medication for over 30 years seizure free] are required to get EEG's every year. Of course I refused the test. His "exam" was a joke. Kovac is a liar and he tries to bill insurance for unnecessary tests. Worst doctor I ever saw.

Unpleasant, most of staff, office manager extremely rude and difficult. MD ,s arrogant with an I am superior " attitude. The office do not answer phone, kept me on hold for 60 minutes and finally we have to drive to the office to get an appointment that should be given by phone. Manager, impossible to deal with. Hangs up the phone when there is a complaint. Some time ago I recommended this practice to patients who called for appointments and had the same treatment so they never went there. There a plenty of Neurologist in Area, with more compassion and education.

Dr. Andrew Kovac SHOULD NOT BE PRACTICING MEDICINE, he needs to find a new line of work.I went to this dr. Since he is one of the few neurologists on the AETNA Ins. Plan, all he did was check my knees and legs and had his assistant do a test on my head with a lot of wires. When the test was completed I was told to wait for him in the examining room and all he did was come in and tell me that I had to speak with his secretary. After almost 4 hours I left with nothing, I will never go see him again.

My 1st visit to see Dr. Kovacs was at his office located at Mt. Sinai in Miami. I waited for 1 hour, he spent 15 minutes with me doing a routine exam. He suggested that I make an appointment at his office located in Bay Harbor to rule out certain things. I made the appt. for noon when he would arrive at the office. After 2 hrs, I told the front desk I was leaving. Dr. Kovacs came to the waiting room and didn't understand why I was upset. He is rude with no regards for his patients' time.

Dr Kovacs has treated me for about 2 years. Identified and then alleviated my medical issues quickly. Very helpful and extremely knowledgeable. Would definitely recommend. He coincidentally saw me in the E/R and came over to find out what was going on, checked the CT scan, called the neurosurgeon, updated us right away. He was terrific and took a proactive interest in helping me.

Dr. Kovacs is an arrogant doctor who thinks he's God. He has no respect for anyone else's time and his patient care is as dry as his personality. Waited over an hour for an appointment and he sees you for 10 seconds. He just wants to take your insurance money and waste your time. His receptionist is extremely rude as well hiding behind a sliding glass door. Has no respect for patients. I guess Dr. Kovacs is leading by example. Will not be back.

Most unpleasant waiting room I've ever been in. So small, cramped and overcrowded, no empty seats for an elderly woman to sit down. Unhappy, unfriendly receptionists hiding behind sliding opaque glass window and there's no way to inform them when you need assistance. No buzzer. You have to stand in front of the closed window for several minutes until they finally open it. Waited in that room more than an hour and 20 mins -- over 80 mins! Avoid this place at all costs. It's a nightmare.
