Dr. Andrew Moritz, MD

I was seen by Andrew J. Moritz, P.A., for Dr John Mays during my hospital stay following an above-the-knee amputation as a result of a long 5 year battle with cancer. In our first interaction, he made a sarcastic comment implying I couldn’t be in pain because I was “sitting up talking,” which I found dismissive and unprofessional. When I asked about my pain management plan, his response was, “I’m not a fortune teller.”I had to request that he not return to my room without a nurse present due to how uncomfortable and disrespected I felt. Recovering from major surgery is already difficult—patients deserve compassionate, supportive care, not sarcasm or skepticism.

Home this afternoon after a shoulder scope this morning with Dr. Moritz at Willis Knighton Bossier. Fantastic experience super polite staff. Dr. Moritz was very professional and explained things in great detail. Highly recommended!

Dr Moritz takes the time to discuss your issues and never pressures you into any unnecessary procedures

Dr. Moritz is always caring towards his patients. He is knowledgeable and shows concern and interest in the patient. He is not in a hurry, but spends time listening and informing the patient about their health situation. He is kind and friendly and expresses true concern for the patient.

I like how I’m treated like I’m a person not a paycheck by everyone there!

I had a torn meniscus in my knee. Dr Moritz visited with me about it and gave me a couple of options. He listened to me and explained both options. I chose to go with surgery. The whole experience has been very easy. His office staff and the surgery team were very kind and made me feel very welcomed and comfortable. Dr Moritz gets 5 stars from me!

Very happy with Dr Moritz. He has always done a great job for me. Very caring and knowledgeable. He covers every base before advising any drastic procedure like surgery. Extremely satisfied with his care.

Dr Moritz is very patient centered and explains the treatment options very well. The office staff and nurse are very helpful and courteous.

Dr. Morris is a very understanding, very compassionate doctor. He listens to you and helps you work through any issues or problems you may have. I would highly recommend him to anyone.

Dr Moritz fixed my meniscus tear several yrs ago, and I was so pleased with the results. He said then I’d eventually need knee replacement. I continue to see him for other orthopedic issues, and shots in my knee now that the arthritis is becoming a huge problem. He always takes time to explain everything, and I don’t feel rushed. He’s a keeper!

Everyone in the office from the offfice staff to the physicians are very nice to work with. They are a very busy office so sometimes there is a bit of a wait.

Personal, factual, very good bedside manners. Office visit was great. Doc gave me options.

Dr Moritz is attentive and looks at current and long term health goals. He is realistic about expectations, and does not over treat. His support staff and office staff are always kind and welcoming.

Kind, caring, knowledgeable. Cannot say enough good things about him. I have, and wiil again, refer anyone who needs an orthopedic Dr/surgeon.

I went in with two issues and he very thoroughly discussed both and options with me. Staff was courteous and pleasant.

I really like Dr Moritz a lot. Listens to me, takes his time, caring, doesn’t act rushed. Nurse is great. Office staff great. The only thing is that I should have asked more questions. Several of my friends (5) have had what I had which is Rotator Cuff surgery. They All said they were sent home with nerve block, some lasted for 24hours, some for 3 days and they all had some kind of something to keep it cold like ice, not sure what called but they all assured me doctor would know what I was talking about and to ask the Anesthesiologist. My Anesthesiologist had zero personality and when I asked he flat out said NO I will Not do that!!! So, I’ve had excruciating pain to the point of tears. I will speak to Dr Moritz. But it’s too late now.

Dr Moritz is straightforward and easy to talk with. He explains all of your options and supports your decisions.
