Dr. Paterson is truly a phenomenal doctor on many levels. He performed a significant surgery on one of my family members, and the recovery has been much stronger and better than ever. In addition to Dr. Paterson’s gifted, surgical talents, he has a personality that cares for his patients as though they are his own family. In addition to being a standout professional, Dr. Paterson is an amazing surgeon incredibly devoted to healing humanity with empathy. We are so forever grateful that he is our doctor!

This brilliant spine surgeon has a heart, too. Always professional, leaves no question unanswered. Patient, kind and talented. One couldn't ask for a better orthopaedic surgeon.

Dr. Paterson is not only an outstanding surgeon, but he creates a rapport with his patients and instills a strong sense of trust. Very caring, great sense of humor (important when dealing with patients in pain) worth the (often) long wait because one can be sure he will answer all questions and explain everything in detail.

Tried several time to contact his office at 505-272-2231 and the phone continues to ring with no answer. Had a referral to see him, but no one ever called me back.

In 2012 I found out that I had degenerative bone disease in my spine and through my first visit with Dr. Paterson to my current ongoing medical treatments with him I have had such great success and built trust in him with every thing he has done for me through therapy and treatment options to fusion surgery. He's the only spinal surgeon that I trust.

I have had back surgery and ongoing post surgical appointments with Dr. Paterson over the last few years. Other than appointment times running quite late, my experience has been exceptional, prior to...during and after surgery. Dr. Paterson is not "surgery happy." He uses surgery as a final option. His referrals are superior and his own reputation stellar. In addition to being an exceptional surgeon/doctor, Dr. Paterson is compassionate, takes his time listening and has a funny dry sense of humor. He works with his patients and creates an environment where one feels free to ask questions and clarify things.

I have had back surgery by Dr. Paterson and numerous follow-ups, etc. Fabulous. Professional. Compassionate. Unhurried. Good listener. Great referrals. Lovely sense of humor. Sometimes, because he does not feel compelled to short change any client, the wait can be lengthy. Get the earliest appt. possible.
