Seemed like he was more interested in entering my information into the computer than sharing the information with me. Also tried to get me to switch to specialists in the Mt Sinai group even though I was totally happy with the specialists I already had relationships with.

Horrible doctor/not knowledgeable, always says nothing is wrong when other doctors actually have thorough examinations performed. Has even mixed up lab results before (with a different patient, and not ever receiving results back!). Don't know how he receives any rating over a single star.

Dr. Petelin himself is decent at best. The real problem is with his front desk staff. They are HORRIBLE. They don not pick up the phone, do not return phone calls or voicemails even when you express that it's important, they fail to fax over referrals even after calling them 5 times about it! On top of all of this, they are rude. Overall, completely negligent clinic. Do not recommend at all. I can't believe they can stay in business like this.

I have been a patient of Dr. Petelin for several years now, and the problem is with his office not him. It's one thing to be incompetent, which they definitely are, but it's an entirely unacceptable to be rude on top of that. My last two appointments were cancelled the day of; I went for three months without my prescription filled as my insurance required prior authorization, this took his office three months to figure out even when I called and left the number on more than five occasions.

I found this dr on the recommended follow up list after a CityMD visit. He neglected to both focus on the reason I came in and offer any treatment as well as proceeded to make me do a ton of irrelevant/unecessary bloodwork. I had to go back to urgent care (should not have had to do) 4 days layer when the untreated condition became a big issue again. Very dissapointed in the waste of time, money, and what was either incompetence or neglect.
