Not friendly
Day of surgery he walks in straight face no friendly greeting. I asked about another issue I previously contacted his office about and was ignored with no call back from his assistant and received a rude response. No eye contact when my spouse asked him a question like he was not even in the room. I was not going to return for other procedure but I did and he was friendly for this one. Not sure if he is not a morning person for early surgery but no one wants to be treated like that.

Arrogant and Horrible Bedside Manner
As the title of my review might suggest, I will not be returning. I have had two identical procedures… one from him and the other from a different local doctor. Both were fine, with the desired outcome, with one glaring difference; Dr Schannen and his assist Hope Lopez made me feel like I was a bother to their day and that they were doing me a favor. I had to take time off of work for the procedure and recovery and needed them to fill out FMLA paperwork; wow, what a colossal pain in the rear! They made me feel like they didn’t have time to do it, and then when they finally did it, it was not done correctly… with many errors and misspellings. I have gone back to them three times over the past month to get it corrected and now they won’t respond! As a result, my absence from work is not excused nor paid; what a joke! Be forewarned!

He was arrogant. Seemed bothered. No compassion. One of the worst doctors I’ve ever been to.

Professional, personable and not pompous. Knowledgeable and his expertise was obvious. I never felt rushed. He included me in the plan of care and I felt he cared about me and my family.
