Dr. Andrew Smith, MD

I had a sore shoulder and Dr Smith determined that it was Calcification Tendonitis. He was able to give me a Cortisone shot to stop the pain, but he also explained that this was a temporary solution and that I might need to have the calcium deposit removed. He was warm and friendly and explained everything in detail to me. I really couldn’t have expected a better experience. I can’t recommend him enough.

Dr Smith saw me right away, was great to talk to, understood my concerns, completed a minor knee surgery with good results and gave great follow-up care. I would certainly recommend him to anyone suffering from knee pain or injury.

A doctor referred me to another doctor, who referred me to Dr. Andrew Smith. I’ve had a couple consultations with him. I appreciate how straightforward he is. Sounds like I’m on the list for surgery so we’ll see how that goes.

Very impressed with the Dr and staff at this office. They handle a very high volume of patient traffic, phone calls, and paperwork, yet the staff handle it for the most part flawlessly! Seems like they take care of their staff and that’s coming from a hospital worker…. Again very impressed!

I went to Dr Smith with a torn ACL. He pressured me into going with an ACL reconstruction, performed by him, not mentioning that there are alternatives out there with long histories of success that work well, but which he didn't do. I did my own research, and was fortunate enough to find a specialist at the HSS who explained that my ACL was torn right off the bone (clearly noted on the radiology report), and that he could reattach it, speeding up my recovery time from what would otherwise have been 9-12 months to 3-6. I went with the specialist and was back to sports within 3, and had a full recovery by 6. I believe Dr smith didn't mention the other techniques because if I found out about them, then I would go with them, and he wouldn't make the money off of doing surgery on me. I believe that Dr Smith would have caused me to undergo a much more invasive, painful and debilitating surgery with no benefit to me, which would have taken many months more to recover from, in order to profit.

Just great! Thorough conversation regarding my visit with next steps, and when I mentioned something unrelated, he took the time to evaluate that as well.

Dr. Smith listens, which is a lost art today. His manner indicates he enjoys his work and cares about his patients. I appreciate his comprehensive and conscientious approach in the diagnosis process and plan of treatment during our appointment.
