Dr. Smock is the rudest, most unfriendly, and unprofessional doctor I have ever seen. He has horrible bedside manner. I went in for chronic UTIs, and he kept questioning me, asking what made me believe I had UTIs (even though I had been to the doctor several times and was treated with antibiotics). He told me I never had any UTIs and basically accused me of making it up. He also took a urine sample and then immediately did an ultrasound to see how much urine I retained, which was a small amount. He then started comparing it to other women he had seen and said mine was nothing compared to theirs. He kept interrupting me, was incredibly rude, and I have never felt so disrespected by a doctor. I have a follow-up, and I will be requesting a new doctor. He is so unprofessional and a bully.

Unprofessional
I saw Dr Smock a few years ago and had such a bad experience I felt it needed to be shared. I had came to the office for frequent urination so as expected I gave a urine sample. I let the nurse know I was on my cycle currently before I gave the sample so they would be aware. I had my tests done and when the doctor came in he told me I had blood in my urine. As I expected this I let him know also that I was on my monthly cycle. He begins to tell me about my own anatomy and how it's impossible for it to have been from my cycle. Unfortunately I can't snap my fingers and make my cycle stop flowing while I pee at the same time. Any woman knows that and all male doctors should be educated on this as well as to not make their patients feel uncomfortable. A week or so later I come back for testing again, even though I should not have. I'm not on my cycle this time and magically there's no blood in my urine sample. I have never seen a male doctor since. I went to my female obgyn and she

I've had two appointments with Dr. Smock & I read his reviews before selecting him...He's professional & seems to be very knowledgeable, but he appears not to be very personable or interested in your views or questions. He's not rude, just has very little personality...my summary: Dr. Smock is all business and competent, but he's on a schedule, so leave your questions and comments at home.

Wants to throw pills at a problem/complaint. How can he be so certain when he never did a complete exam. No labs done either. Inconsiderate and uncaring. Didn't take the time to understand that I have many reasons for not wanting to be on certain meds. He doesn't seem to like to explain in detail. As a physician he should also be an educator. As a patient, I got the feeling that he was losing patience with me when asking questions. I even detected a little smart aleck on his part.
