Dr. Andrew Stoeckl, MD

Dr Stoeckl has performed knee replacements on both my knees. Both recoveries were easy and the results are wonderful. He is a kind, caring physician who listens to his patients and makes you feel at ease.

Dr. Stoekel refused repeatedly to prescribe antibiotics for my 91-year-old mother-in-law who had a deep wound in her leg after running into the corner of her bed. My wife, with advice from my sister, an emergency room RN, treated it for two weeks before calling Dr. Stoeckel again and sending photos of the wound when fresh and two weeks later when it was surrounded by a red rash. He continued to refuse to prescribe antibiotics, but did offer to send a wound care technician to our house in the middle of the pandemic. After 2 weeks we took her to Kenmore Mercy ER where they diagnosed a bacterial infection, injected an antibiotic, and prescribed both oral and topical antibiotics. If you want a doctor who puts doctrine over elderly patients' health and safety, then Stoekl is your man. If you want a doctor with an unmanageable ego, willing to let elderly patients die rather than admit error, then Stoekel is your doctor. He is no longer ours.

There was a slight misunderstanding on my appointment date and upon arrival the receptionist was extremely courteous and understanding. The office was extremely busy but Dr. Stoeckl took the time to see me. He immediately impressed me with his great personality and outstanding bedside manner. After ex rays, he immediately diagnosed my condition, explained it’s cause, and provided his suggested treatments. After a cortizone injection I felt improvement the next day. I highly recommend him.

Dr. Stoeckl was very kind and patient in showing me the "knee" and what was done to the knee during surgery. He also spoke about recovery. I would recommend him to my family and friends. Thank you, Helen Brogan

He's done miniscus surgery on both of my knees and I'm now playing tennis 3-4 times a week with no pain. He takes the time to explain everything and treats me like an intelligent human being. While I hope to never have to see him again, I will go back to him if I have any issues.

Dr. Stoeckl is amazing....the support staff is not. I had a total knee replacement 2 yrs ago. I also had a hamstring avulsion. The surgery was great and ECMC was great...the problem was, I left the hospital w/o pain medication(my fault). Getting through to a practitioner was nearly impossible. Their policy was that your call is taken by a receptionist and they EMAIL the "team"...I waited 2 days before my call was returned. After that, the PA prescribed the wrong medication and wrong strength.

Dr. Stoeckl and his Physician Assistants, Jason and Allison, meld expertise, kindness and a true caring demeanor. Everything is fully explained and all questions are addressed. I have had a torn rotator cuff repaired [excellent], and am now moving forward after a total knee replacement. My recovery has been a bit slower than average , but through it all, I have felt supported, encouraged and professionally treated. Outstanding team, and fully satisfied!

At my very first appointment with Dr. Stoeckl my wife and I knew the minute he walked into the exam room that this was the doctor I would be best suited with. His bedside manner is impeccable as not to mention his nursing staff and RPA-C Jason Hooper are outstanding as well. The attention to detail and discussions in layman terms makes one feel at ease. My first Total knee replacement was handled with expertise so that the second knee that was just replaced went as outstanding. Thanks!

Dr. Stoekl did my knee replacement, he did a wonderful job! Looking at getting the other knee done soon..Highly recomend!

I would not recommend Dr. Stoeckl. He did not perform my procedure as agreed and then never bothered to tell me it was not performed as it was supposed to be. I only found out when the knee failed again.

Just started seeing Dr. Stoeckl and Jason his PA, left another local group since did not like previous Dr. I have Knee OA in both knees and will need them replaced so far I am very satisfied with my visits and care.
