After about six months, every single appointment was a five minute phone call. He didn’t send the right doses a couple times to the pharmacy. I had to follow up multiple times to get paperwork filled out. And his overall demeanor is condescending with very little empathy. Don’t bother talking to him about anything other than your meds and dosages with him or you’ll see additional charges for psychotherapy. He’s just there for a paycheck and you are nothing but a number to him, pathetic.

Been going here for a few months now, and I wouldn't recommend Dr. Wang or this office. Service is far from personal and empathetic, let alone helpful. He took over a month to help me get off of a medication he prescribed that not only didn't work, but in fact made my symptoms much worse. When I finally got in to see him again after 3 out of my 4 office calls weren't answered (the last call being answered with "well, your appointment is coming soon anyway" rather than any immediate help), he recommended my condition beckoned being hospitalized instead of offering action or taking any responsibility for it. Not a patient– just a dollar bill. I've suffered with mental illness long enough to recognize poor help, and this is the worst so far.

We agreed on ECT outpatient for me as plan for my treatment resistant depression over the "pandemic winter". I wasn't given detailed information, and I was later told the practice assumed the doctors I was referred to would give me that information. I went to SIU Springfield for Evaluation. I was not given details about the ECT procedure. An insurance issue and confusion with BCBS IL delayed my treatment but apparently my issue "wasn't severe enough" for insurance to figure out the error quickly. I had to wait way too long. ECT is meant to be an urgent procedure and to help until medicine can. Next, I made an appointment with Springfield Memorial Hospital. They also failed to provide me information even though they scheduled my appointment. I found out on my research some information that they did not tell me. I called and they told me to cancel the procedure. None of my docs helped me to make the procedure happen. Trintellix is way too expensive to prescribe!!!

Every time I have seen him, I have felt like I have felt worse than before seeing him. He makes me feel like bad about my problems and acts like I will never improve. It is very discouraging to see him . He uses a gaslighting technique so that you feel dependent about seeing him. He comes off very arrogant, rude, and he seems to lack clinical judgement. He has also messed up my prescriptions almost every time specifically the dosing and the actual medication which there is absolutely NO EXCUSE!

Great doctor! Today was just my first appointment but I was very impressed with how intently he listened and interacted with me. This has not been my experience with doctors in the past. He has a refreshing approach to psychiatry that is sorely missed in many medical settings. The price was beyond reasonable and everyone in the office was warm and friendly, which made made me feel very comfortable and welcome. I highly recommend Dr. Wang!

I was hospitalized with some emotional issues, and Dr. Wong was the first doctor I saw. I felt like he understood me and would take care of my issues. Dr. Wong agreed to continue my care as an outpatient, and I have had success in my rehabilitation. I would highly recommend Dr. Wong for all your psychiatric needs.
